1. Never received confirmation of appointment call. 2. They wait until you arrive to advise they don’t take top notch insurance, its out of network and charge gies from co payment to $450. I walked out. I insist on clear communication. If communication on getting them paid is poor, I cannot chance any other failures in communication

AVOID THIS PRACTICE AT ALL COSTS. I went in for a consultation about a month ago for UFE Treatment got charged for $1740 ($240 for 10 mins consultation/$1500 for Pelvic Ultrasound) and I know why. The wait was about 45mins to get ultrasound done and another hour to actually talk to the doctor which lasted about 10 mins. But I decided to schedule for the procedure in 3 weeks. A week after the visit, I tested to reschedule my procedure but was told that someone would call me to reschedule. I waited for a week but nobody called me. so I call the office again and spoke with a receptionist to cancel the appointment for next week. She said she’d cancel my appointment (later said she doesn’t remember speaking with me. But I have the records). Then on the week of procedure, which I had cancelled, someone called me to confirm my appointment. I told him I had cancelled my appointment but when I gave him my number he didn’t even have it in their system. He also told me that they are going to charge me cancellation fee even though I’d been trying to reschedule for the last two weeks. And I got an email from another person saying that system was down for a week! What if it was some kind of emergency I needed to contact them immediately? Anyway, no one had told me I needed to be accompanied by some one or How long I have to stay there until two days before the scheduled appointment. and the procedure will take place in Brooklyn only on Wednesdays. Disorganized and dishonest.

They called me 2 months after to let me know I need to get an MRI some of their staff are incompetent I called back and the phone was answered by a gentleman who transferred my call to insurance department I hang up call back and they told me that they don’t handle a simple call that it was supposed to schedule an MRI. Doctor berkowitz if you get to see this review you have to seriously change your staff because they don’t know what they are doing. Over all the doctor is good and I have faith he will do good with my procedure is just he’s staff that need to be trained well.
