IF a staff member abuses you here, they will handle it internally and not call law enforcement. They will lie to parents about incidents so they don't pull you out of program, they lie to get you in..

We were put on "blocks" from self soothing activities including but not limited to, drawing, music, basketball, food, other patients, staff members, family members and toiletries. Would extend "suicide watches" and force the teenagers to bathe in front of them with bathing suits on. Not allowed to brush hair. Multiple staff and my own therapist touched me and other patients inappropriately. A level system determined certain privileges the teenagers were allowed like eating with the group, certain meal types, group activities and bed times. Patients were forced to participate in prayer, regardless of level type. When reaching a level 4, you were "allowed" to participate in "community service" which included working at food banks with paid employees and nursing home entertainment. The "time out room" was a locked concrete cell in the middle of the facility. Staff would regularly put teenagers they didn't like in the cell and would let them hurt themselves while in the cell. All of the bad reviews are from students who didn’t like the program. I was there for almost 6 months. I made a lot of progress.

I was sent here after being discharged from Huntsman Health Center nearly a year ago now. I had been feeling a bit better mentally after my time in the mental hospital, but this place absolutely wrecked all of my progress. I was treated like an outsider-- especially because the staff chose obvious favorites. I'm not sure if they were trying to do some military style "break you down and build you up" method, but all I got was broken down. My piers AND the staff both constantly belittled me.They had zero patience with me and treated me incredibly harsh for a kid who was there because of reasons regarding depression and suicide. So many bad things happened to me here, I can't even get started. I've been doing trauma work with my therapist for a long while to try and recover from the things they did to me here.
