Runaway smoke and mirrors 60000 a year on the road is super low pay. They say free health care. More smoke and mirrors. Only health for you I tried to add my wife let's just say 1000 a month to insure her. Over all there way better trucking jobs out there. WAY BETTER

I have found THE BEST COMPANY They have drivers backs 100% Keep me moving. No running in severe weather. SAFETY is amazing. Dispatch is NOT ALLOWED TO BULLY US . My pay is consistent. I get a monthly bonus through safety and miles and the best thing is when you're sitting at a shipper or a receiver and it takes them a while to get you unloaded you don't have to worry about the pay because you are making salary not cents per mile so you don't have to worry about losing money for sitting and not moving unless you're just being lazy other than that this is a great company to come to and I wouldn't go anywhere else not going to go anywhere else and the best recruiter is Jesse y'all want a good recruiter to get you in he will bend over backwards to try

Driver from shipex pulls up in the parking lot at walcott ia dumps a 5 gallon bucket of garbage on the ground and all over the side of my show truck...and then drives off after I confronted him...trash can 100 ' away!!

Been here for a few weeks now. I love this company. The whole staff is great. Orientation was the best. Sarge took great care of us. He explained everything in great detail. My manager Dennis makes sure I have everything I need. I wish I could give this company ten stars.

What's going on?
As of 10/9/18 we do not use the New York Thruway I-90. That can change in the future and you can contact your Driver Manager or any member of the Driver Advisory Board any time you have a question about using Toll Roads.
In offering the best and newest trucks on the road, we also offer the use of manual and automatic transmissions.
ShipEX pays our drivers $60,000 a year with a weekly salary. We also offer monthly bonuses based on safety, miles produced, and years invested with ShipEX. All other positions have a negotiated wage.
When i was hired in April was told same thing.as far as i know. Foundation has been laid. But with the virus now in play in SLC, everything is on hold.
We primarily hire Professional Solo OTR Drivers that can earn $60,000 a year. We are not looking at expanding our Team Driver Fleet at this time.
We are not looking at adding any Owner Operators to our fleet at this time, we employ Solo OTR Drivers with at least 18 months of tractor trailer experience and no more than three accidents in the last three years.
Hi David! We have Local, Regional and Long Haul (OTR) positions. If you would like to know more information, please call 385-232-7100 ext 5
After a waiting period of 60 days, following the start of the next month, we offer full driver insurance, and the ability to pay the premium for their spouse and dependents.
We are proud of our rider policy allowing you to take your pet on the road with no charge. We also offer the opportunity to take anyone that is 18 years of age or older to join a driver on the road.
As part of our hiring process, we expect our drivers to complete the Standard DOT Pre-employment drug test.
I'm not sure on dedicated runs and yes they do have cameras for your safety and yes they are governed I work for them but in the shop
Nope
Did you call recruiter? It's not clear if you already went through orientation or not? There is no orientation during the holidays but you should be able to get in touch now.
No teams as far as I know.
Its 80% long haul and yes east coast we go almost everywhere haven't been to Montana or North Dakota pay is 100% salary and when ur sitting due to a wind and snow storm in Wyoming ur still making money. Home time works get 1 day home for every week out if out 8 weeks go home 8 days and u still get paid
Im just a driver with them not in Salt Lake
They don't take deliveries. It is the Shipex terminal.
This is a great company to work for, the salary is awesome and the bonuses are worth the effort, they pay the premiums on health care, which is a lot of love. They do try to micromanage a bit more than I'd prefer, but perks of the job more than make up for it. I would recommend Shipex to any driver who just wants to run without having to worry about equipment (they are meticulous about their equipment) or downtime costing you money, this is the company for you
The company will do their very best to accommodate non smoking requests, but at the same time, inventory could be limited. Speak with a recruiter to get more specific information. I recommend Monique. She will do everything she can to help you.
Yes, they/we do. Give them a call.
They sure do
18 months of experience is required to drive for ShipEx.
Hi Mike! We do have set customer runs that are required but if our drivers have special requests or Home time we will make sure to give you the load you are requesting. Its all first come first serve so letting us know right away helps with aligning the loads to requests. Hope that answers the questions!
Yes the have a few kenworrths. But mostly freightliners n volvos. Their trucks stay very maintained though.
Hello Mike! We do use a fuel routing system to allow fuel savings but like Paul stated, if there are any issues with the route we just ask that the drivers report it to the Driver Manager. We would rather have all our drivers use common sense and avoid going tons of miles out or route or worse running out of fuel. We rely on communication to help avoid any issues or frustrations. Great question!
All health insurance benefits that are open to Drivers are also open to their families. However, we only pay 100% of the Driver's Premiums. It is absolutely no touch freight for our Drivers.
We are looking for team Drivers to run a few lanes at this time. Our E-Logs are on the Rand McNally system. Our trucks are governed at 62 mph on the pedal and 66 mph on cruise. We have 1,800 watt inverters in all of our trucks.
We do indeed hire out of Jacksonville, Florida.
One day of Paid Home Time is earned for every 7 days you are on the road, and you can negotiate when and how much home time to take with your Driver Manager. We do have a number of drop yards scattered across the country. Our Terminal is located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Consider WIA normally found at the career center they may get state to pay for your schooling so your not stuck on a company contract normally low income and food stamps, hud ect is automatically accepted but, most big named companies will pay as well, crete, shaffer, cfi, xpo,Schneider, ect hope it helps best of luck.
Yes
We are a reefer fleet only and ship almost anything that can fit into a reefer. Home time is 7 days out 1 day of home time with 3-4 weeks out on the road.
That is a pretty great idle rate. Our bonus structure is based on Productivity and Safety, with idling being part of the Productivity. To learn how much your bonus could potentially be, visit us here: https://www.shipex.com/work-for-shipex/salary-calculator/
We carry just about anything that can be hauled in a reefer truck, but we do not carry any Hazardous Materials.
We offer local, regional, and OTR opportunities. However, our $60,000 a year salary is only available to OTR Drivers.
We do have routes that run through Chicago. Thank you for leaving your phone number with you, we will be in contact with you shortly.
Our fleet is a mix of Freightliners, Volvos, Peterbilts, and Kenworths. You would be equipped with a Freightliner when you first come aboard, but after 90 days of meeting our expectations on the road and based on availability of our trucks, you will be able to choose your own truck, colors, and wrap.
Yes they do. They support vet's, cancer, and autism, trucks wraped in each
As I'm from the Phoenix area I can yes they do. If you choose to join our team please give them my name David Peterson
No they dont have need for trainers this company requires 18 months of experience I wouldn't be a trainer if this company had a training program I couldnt stand having a another person with me except animals
We do have some team Drivers, but we mostly hire solo OTR Drivers.
Shipex hub is in utah and they do have runs that go to the Carolinas to a place called fersinius. Not all runs are dedicated. Give them a call. They would be more then happy to speak with you if your interested in working for them. They are a good company.
We have semi-dedicated lanes and we do frequent both North and South Carolina. Thank you!
At ShipEX we pay our Drivers a guaranteed salary to start at $60,000 a year that’s $5,000 a month, or $1154 a week. This pay will be the same to our Drivers whether you are delayed at customers docks or traffic, weather delays, and even on earned home time. Additionally you wont have your check deducted by your portion of your medical coverage, we take care of that for our drivers. 100%. When it comes to our rider policy, we prefer to have our Drivers become familiar with the equipment and working at ShipEX for 30 days before riders (18 years or older) can join you. But we understand certain situations where this needs to be modified, and we will do that for our drivers. Also we have a free pet policy from day one! Our home policy is simple, for every week out you get one day home. If you're out 5 weeks, you get 5 days home and its paid. Living in Daytona, FL we will want you to stay out for 3 to 4 weeks at a time before going home. Thanks for your interest in ShipEX!
Rex we are delighted to see that you have decided join us next week! As you go through orientation and are assigned your truck, you will see that they are all equipped with a 1800 watt inverter and our new Freightliner Cascadia’s and Volvo’s do come with Opti-Idle and Smart Idle. At ShipEX we know that during the hot day and nights in the summer, it is important that our drivers get well rested and if that means idling to stay cool we understand. As the days and nights get cooler this is when our bunk heaters are real comfy. We look forward to having you join our ShipEX family, see you next week!
I am in their 2019 Cascadia. Has refrigerator, Inverter (I run microwave, t.v., electric skillet and a box fan from walmart. It has Idle feature for cabin comfort. VERY nice trucks. Oh, they also have PasSmart on the Cascadia. Governed at 66 on cruise but the passing feature will boost you to 69-70 mph. Takes away a lot of stress of getting left out in the hammer lane by inconsiderate drivers.
At ShipEX we have built our hiring areas around our consistent shipping and receiving customers, and we are constantly expanding into other areas. We hire out of the following states: AL, AZ, AR, CA, CO, CT,GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY,MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, NE, NE, NJ, NM, NY (Not NYC), NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, and WY. Home time may vary depending upon where exactly you live, which you can confirm with your recruiter.
Shipx hires experienced driver's. Otr long haul. Salary with bonuses. Give them a call. They are a good company to drive for..
Hi Erick, we do have Teams! And unfortunately we do not offer leasing options. Hope that helps!
We are proud of our rider policy allowing anyone that is 18 years of age or older to join a driver on the road. We also offer the opportunity to take your pet with you on the road.
Regional would be considered western (UT/CA/NM/CO/NE/AZ/WA/OR). Hope that helps!
We are probably a little biased, but we think ShipEX is a fantastic place to work! We offer all our drivers a starting weekly salary of $60,000 a year with the potential for many bonuses and consistent work. We also pay to insure our drivers and offer fantastic family coverage. At ShipEX, our drivers are not their truck number, they are a member of our family.
