Best hotel in the U.S.! We rented 2 rooms, both very clean. The guest service was amazing. We came with my grandma, who has difficulty walking around. One of the guest service people got us a wheelchair and escorted us to our rooms. Everyone we met was super friendly. The light shows and the pond are so beautiful to see. The location is so convenient. My family and I will definitely be back! I highly recommend!!

A once grand hotel, now an awful experience!!! I grew up in the area and when I was younger, this was the crown jewel of downtown St. Louis hotels. So naturally, when I brought my family back for a Cardinals game, I wanted them to experience it. Imagine my total and utter disappointment when I arrived and saw what my almost $300 got me for a night. You still arrive to the hotel thru the magnificent grand hall of the old train station and it is truly breathtaking. Sadly, its the lipstick on this pig. Check-in was easy enough and the staff at the front desk was quite friendly. We chose to park ourselves and it was located a little bit of a trek away, but it wasn’t a major inconvenience. Once we were to our room, it was apparent that this property isn’t what it once was. We were given room 4035, a double-queen. Furnishings and linens were okay, but one bedspread had a small stain on it. There was a faint smell of smoke in this non-smoking room, which was disappointing, but I blame the jerks that don’t observe the rules more than the hotel itself. The bathroom was the single largest disappointment. For starters, both the sink and tub drains were filthy. I’m not just talking soap scum, but hair and mold. Disgusting! See the photos attached. Additionally, the vent in the bathroom appeared to have so much dust and mold that it looked furry. Photo also attached. After the extremely hot ballgame, we were all ready for a cold beverage back in the room. However, it took me trying 5 separate vending machines before I finally found one that worked. The front desk staff was no help either. I went to ask for help and was told that the market may have a bottled soft drink. Apparently he wasn’t aware that the market had been closed for over two hours. Finally, we called down to the front desk for additional towels. They still haven’t arrived. For this rate, I expect far, far more. I guess I should have just ponied up an extra $100 to stay at Ballpark Village.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, bellhops and front desk attendants were every nice and helpful. This place however for being as expensive as it is has hardly any amenities. No room service, not happy hour or snack bar, breakfast not included (which the staff will lie to you about). The pool even though it's not open yet is in a very public place with no lounge area. I feel like this place is just pretty and made for conventions and to get you out. Fire and Light show was pretty decent, you can also hear it from your hotel rooms. Outside of the hotel on the aquarium side is pretty cool with the koi pond. Also all of the restaurants close by 10pm. If you have kids this place may be a better stay for you.

On the surface the hotel seems like a great place to stay. The communal areas like the lobby, Station Grill restaurant, and beautiful grand entry hall are all wonderful. And the staff that I interacted with were all very helpful and kind. But our room was unfortunately filthy. There was a massive hair ball tumbleweed on the carpeted floor of our bedroom, gravel or rock salt all over the living room carpet, red stains there too. Furniture was dusty and dingy, and the bathroom was less than desirable. I had wanted a room with a tub for my kid to use but the drain was so gross looking we just did showers the whole time instead. The bathroom faucet was wobbly and didn’t work the best either. It is clear that the rooms need some definite upkeep and just regular cleaning. I had high hopes for this hotel, and appreciated the convenience of being right there for the aquarium, but not sure that we will stay here again or that I could in good conscience recommend it to others.

It was open the weekend of July 11th when we were there.
They do have rooms with 2 queens, when we have 5 at hotels we bring a full sized air mattress and pump. For 5 I would recommend the Embassy Suites where you can get two beds and a separate living area with a pull out couch. Free cocktails and apps each evening and free breakfast for all. If your a Diamond or Gold you get breakfast for two plus complimentary apps in the executive lounge for your whole party at Union. Union has the historic value and is a great place and both are Hilton Quality. HOT TIP if staying at Union, instead of self park or valet drive to the lot next to theirs parking is 5.00 a day. There lot is on the left go down a little farther and the right lot is good. Oh and if you get the chance stop at Blues City Deli for sandwiches , amazing.
West of the hotel on the other side of 20th st. You can easily see it in satellite view. Pro tip : Park on the north side of that lot to shorten your walk to the hotel entrance. Self park was free for me as Hhonors member.
We used the valet. There was no microwave in the room.

I'd suggest an Air BnB room rather than staying at the station.
