Fountains for the dogs when it's hot, firepit for the humans when it's cold. This is a great dog park and is totally worth the annual membership fee that you pay at the city hall. You don't have to be a U-city resident, but then the fee is slightly higher. They shut the water off in the winter to prevent the pipes from freezing, so when it's that cold you have to bring water with you.

It's a nice neighborhood dog park. People are friendly and most dogs behave well. Our dog loves this place

I love this dog park. Completely worth the membership price. Lots of room for being right in the middle of U-city. They provide tennis balls and Chuck-its and some water features. I really wish they'd fix the water leak form the sprinkler line(s) in the medium play area. The standing water and mud attracts mosquitoes. However, you don't have much to worry about if you have a large dog--the large dog area is very well maintained and lovely, with kiddie pools. Great place either way. Would love more enrichment/climbing areas for the dogs. My little one loves it either way.

What a wonderful asset to the U City community. Self supporting with a small annual fee to join. Often several dogs but never crowded. Perfect for socialization with other dogs. Pickup bags are provided through business donations. Lots of toys to use, water bowls are there, and some kiddie pools and a fountain to play in. Separate area for older or smaller dogs. Seems wee thought out. You do need a code to get in which is provided when you pay the annual fee.

Just Rabies. I haven't heard about the pool party, thanks for the heads up.
I don't see why not, but you might want to ask the folks at University City Hall to be safe. The main reason parks are permit only is for safety and accountability, so as long as you provide proof of vaccination and your contact info, it's probably fine.
