We got free tickets for staying at Kalahari. This wildlife park is great. A lot of hands on animals. Touch the kangaroos! Serious. π I could have done that all day. My son rode a camel for $9, which was awesome. The staff were all super nice and helpful. We really enjoyed this.

We almost didn't go after reading some of the reviews but decided to and I am so glad we did. I do not understand the bad reviews because I am picky and it was a little pricey but it was worth every penny. You get to touch and feed most of the animals, the pony and camel rides were great and so was the guy running it. We got to pet a kangaroo and there is a bird area you get to go into and they land on you. The train ride was also nice and the place was very clean. We will definitely be going every year. We had a great experience there! It isn't huge but it is good size, I was happy with the size and what we saw. We were there about 3 hours. It was a weekday so wasn't super busy which was great. Was a great experience overall to be able to be that hands on with the animals.

The Timbavati Wildlife Park has become tradition when we visit the Dells for our son's birthday trip. We love it! Be prepared for lots of walking, with some small hills. Definitely buy a lunch box on your way in, but make sure to hold it by the bottom, NOT the handle! We tend to buy another cup of carrots ($4) just for the giraffes. They're so gentle! You can spend as much or as little time here as you like, but we tend to average around 2 hours by not visiting any one animal for too long. The birds are so much fun for the kids! If they're little, I recommend an adult hold the feeding stick in the air until a bird lands, then bring it down to toddler-height. Make sure to stop and pet the kangaroos too! All-in-all, definitely worth a stop on your vacation!

Fun, adventurous, and educational for the whole family! Well worth the admission. Friendly staffs . many different kind of species/ animals, white tiger, lions, giraffes, goats, sheep, monkeys, etc⦠food you can purchase to feed some of the animals. train ride, camels ride, and pony ride are separate charges. They have a play ground, food services, gift shop, and Plenty space to walk to enjoy Mother Nature . Highly recommended.

Brining wet wipes and hand sanitizer may be a good idea. They have hand sanitizer around, but having it on you would be helpful since you can pet most of the animals and your hands get dirty fast.
There is minimal walking (similar to a small zoo) but for the love of God, Do NOT waste your money on the train! Aside from a small section of antelope, you can access all of the animals (including the giraffe feeding station) with just the general admission. The train is lackluster and overpriced.
No you can buy them at the front entrance. Mount Olympus has discounted or free tickets available if you stay at their resort .
There are lots of camels and giraffes that you can Pet and Feed. Badgers, foxes, porcupines, monkeys. Also, there is a room that you can go into with birds that with a feeding stick that has seeds Etc they will land on your hands and arms Etc to eat the seeds. There are cows and goats that you can feed and zebras that you can pet! There are llamas that are actually adorable. I highly recommend the experience!
I thought it was an awesome experience for the animal lovers.
I stayed at kalahari, so we got free admission tickets. But...if you want to ride the train, it's over $10 per person. Carrots for the animals is $4 for a paper cup, oh yeah......plus tax on the carrots. Sign said $4, gave the grandson money to go get carrots, lady wouldn't give to him until he came back with .27 more!
If you book a stay at the kalahari tickets are complementary.
No, food 4 animals is like $4. Unfortunately for us they didn't want company or 2 eat while we where visiting
Depends on if you're walking through or taking the train. I believe walking through was $20 a person(my 7yo may have been free) and the train was $10 or $15 a person. They also offer a container of food for feeding animals and that was $20. Very much worth the experience. My almost 18yo son and his friend loved it as much as my 7yoπ
For crying out loud people .leave your dogs home! Common sense tells us the wild animals wouldn't like it. They may show aggressive behaviour and want to eat your little fido!
it's about 20 per person, and an extra 10 to ride the train per person. I dont remember what the price for children is
It actually seems harmless. They aren't prodded or forced to complete the race. It's pretty entertaining and kids love it.
We were there on 7/5 and the staff wore masks inside facilities. We wore our masks when indoors or close to other people.
$19.95 for adults, $14.95 for kids. 2 and under free. $10.95 for adults Safari train. $8.95 for kids Safari train
Hello, Timbavati Wildlife Park is not your typical zoo. Our park is much more interactive than most zoos. Unfortunately we do not allow dogs into the park. One exception would be service dogs. With said service dog there will be regulations and guidelines to follow for the safety of all animals and customers alike.
9 a.m. to 7pm
We took the train around and it is a twenty minute ride..but stopped a couple of times.
We did it this morning and saw everything, didn't do the train ride as that was extra and we even saw the pig races and we were done in an hour and a half. If you have kids I would recommend bringing some quarters for feeding machines and some money to buy carrots.
20$ if I remember correctly
Probably not, doesn't show up on list. Check website. Not required
We didn't notice either. As friendly as they all were, if you called directly they might get a few wheelchairs. Great idea.
No they have a vendor there.
Yes you just have to keep in mind it's not a zoo. If you're used to going to the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago or Kalamazoo in Michigan and that's what you're expecting you will not be happy. My kids loved it it was a good few hours hanging out and having a good time.
They have Quite a few camels, lots of goats, two giraffes, a few lemurs, begal tiger and a white tiger, a cool parakeet enclosure where they fly on you and you can feed them. I loved the goats and the nursery. Got to Pet a few baby animals.
The train runs all day and has a tour guide explaining the many different exhibits you'll pass. It's certainly worth it.
Not that I recall. I believe they start closing around November.. sooner if the weather gets too cold.
