Brining wet wipes and hand sanitizer may be a good idea. They have hand sanitizer around, but having it on you would be helpful since you can pet most of the animals and your hands get dirty fast.
Make sure to keep the map handy, it is easy to miss some of the animals. I do recommend buying the food, it definetly added to the experience especially with the goats, camels and giraffes. Also you need to read and respect all the signs. They tell you which animals you can't feed, where you cannot go, how to not taunt the wild animals etc.
Be careful, these are wild animals. Camels and Llamas spit, others can bite if agitated or alarmed. They are cute, but still wild animals. Small children having fun can accidentally slap an animal, pull an ear, or otherwise startle an animal. Just watch small kids closely, be gentle, take plenty of water for your group and plenty of carrots for the animals. Good solid comfortable shoes, and a large brim hat for shade is a good idea, but you'll Have fun, enjoy it!
Be prepared to take alot of pics, stay hydrated because it tends to be hot and humid this time of year. Be sure to purchase the animal food for when you ride the train because a few animals come right up to you. Nice experience for the kids. I don't have any don'ts!
