While it may take a while to get an appointment your pets will receive top notch care here. Our dog trainer recommended the Fremont vet clinic and I couldn't be more pleased. My dogs are not scared for vet visits and the staff take great care to make things go smoothly and anxiety-free. They even called to check in several days later after we needed to use an urgent care vet elsewhere. I have never had a better vet and would recommend them to anyone, they are worth the wait.

I am done with Fremont Vet. Six month ago I took my older dog in for severe diarrhea and they gave him fluids but forgot to give me or tell me about the antibiotics that the veterinarian has prescribed. It took two more days of my dog suffering and additional unnecessary tests before the vet realized they hadn’t given me the antibiotics. They pat themselves on the back in their response below by saying they are glad they could fill the prescriptions the next day, but the problem wasn't filling it. The problem is their staff missed it in the vet's treatment plan. This week I called to schedule an appointment for the same dog who is now dealing with a cough and they left me a voicemail telling me they couldn’t get him in within two weeks and I would have to go to an urgent care place instead. No offer of trying to get him in if there was a cancelation. Just go somewhere else. I believe the vets here are good but the management is so poor that I am going to seek better care elsewhere for my dogs.

I truly think that Dr. Joseph is a great vet. Easy to talk to, and he understands how his patients feel.

They aren't accepting new patients as of Dec 2021 but if you're able to get in, this vet office is outstanding!! Smart, caring, and despite being very busy they don't rush appointments and answer all of my millions of questions happily.

Questions & Answers

I'm looking for a new vet. I currently go to east halsey and they've told me a dental cleaning is 12 weeks out. Are you experiencing the same type of scheduling challenges? thanks Dean

Hi Dean, Depending on the case and our doctors' schedule, non-emergent dentals are booking several weeks out right now.

How are prices for exams and shots, etc?

Hi Charley The regular, comprehensive (nose to tail) exam for an annual visit or if your pet is sick or injured or has a symptom is $67.50. For puppies and kittens coming back for progress visits and vaccines, the follow up exams are $50. If our appointments are full and we need to work you in, we do have a special exam price for that circumstance; however, that doesn't happen that often. Most vaccines are $34.50. The doctor can tell you what vaccines are needed based on your pet's lifestyle and other risk factors. We do use a special type of vaccine for cats that greatly reduces their chance of developing a lump or reaction at the vaccine site. These vaccines are more expensive and are $44.00. Some vaccines last 3 years, so make sure you factor that into your budget and pricing. Hope that answers your question. Give us a call at 503/282-0991 if you want to come our way. Take Care, Grant - Manager.
