I come here frequently for work and i HIGHLY recommend an appointment with the genius bar. The store can be crowded and scheduling ahead of time can cut down on waiting. Without an appointment wait times can exceed 1 hour.

Phones can only be unlocked by the carriers themselves. Apple does not do this.

Plug it into iTunes, then depending on which iPhone you have do a hard reset to put the phone in DFU mode. You should see it show up in itunes. If that doesn't work then go to Apple, I'm not sure how much it will cost. They would have to check and see what the problem is before they can tell you the charge.

Hey Jas. Yes, if the issue is something that can be fixed, they will fix it. If they can't fix it, they will let you know. Of course they will charge you if they have to fix it, but if after looking at it and they can't fix it, then you don't have to pay anything. (Try this before you go there. At the bottom of your phone where the speakers are, those holes, if you can somehow clean them out. Blow some forceful air, or something. Those speakers get blocked from dust over the years causing the issue you're having. I'm almost sure that's what it is.) Unless you have some water damage.

If your battery is 85 percent that's a good thing. Try updating your phone, if there's one available, if not call Apple. They will run a diagnostic and depending on what they find they may or may not charge you.

You would be best served by bringing your Apple products into them and letting them esses the product prior to suggesting a price.

They did take my wife's iPhone 6 and it did have a small crack on it.

They will not unlock it unless you know the sign in credentials period. Sometimes if you walk in they will help you, though you may have to wait a little while.

You shouldn't need to transfer data unless something not stored on the iCloud account but yes they can assist with transfer of files even without actually going into the apple store you should be able to do so with customer support

Probably an issue with the speaker(s). I would take it to the Apple Store so they can check it out. They should fix it for free. Sometimes dust gets into the speakers and make it bad.

That depends on what you mean by cleaned out because if it just means clearing all your data off of the phone that something that you can do on your own by looking it up on YouTube but if you have AppleCare any issues that you have with that phone outside of it being broken will be no charge
