I love coming to this library, until I met Shontate, she is the nastiest most disgusting person who treated me like a sub human, I will never come back until she fix's her nasty attitude and aplogizes.

Helpful, knowledgeable staff, pleasant environment, tons of material. Great place for research.

Very beautiful, historic and cultured. However if you’re looking to print bring your wallet. I am a state employee and forgot my wallet at the office when walking there, employee requested that I walk back to my office to bring 10cents or he wouldn’t release the page from the que. I’m actually a little offended. But I guess. Rules are rules right?

Questions & Answers

Can I order a book from this site

The best way to obtain a book from the State Library's collection is to request an interlibrary loan from your own public library. The public is welcome in the State Library during the hours that they are open, but only state employees and students of library science may check materials out.

Does the general public have access to the books other than inter library loans?

Not the General Public, but the homeless folks sure use the heck out of it.
