On eight separate occasions in the past year and a half, while taking my Sparkle Quest walk with my darling pup Jethro, I encountered clients parked on the sidewalk blocking my path. Each of the eight times I went into FeedNC and I kindly asked that they request that their clientele move their car from blocking the sidewalk. Stating I would wait patiently until the car/s moved. Each and every time I received pushback, unprofessional and rude behavior. Anyone trying to get through walking let alone with a wheelchair would have to walk in the street to get around the car/s blocking the sidewalk. Evidently, the staff at FeedNC not only are encouraged but trained to treat their neighbors disrespectfully. Which is ironical since they have received many grants of our and my taxpayer dollars.

Volunteers are very helpful. I just started going the only complaint I have have is the shelves are always spars. Vegetables and fruit not fresh. Corn was out side covered in flies. Very little meat, usually freezer burnt!

One of the best places to get grocery assistance and they all go out of their way to be helpful and courteous. You feel good about the atmosphere while you shop for your family! It's also a great place to give back to if you ever have items on hand that you can use but maybe someone else can. The staff and volunteers are fantastic 😊 so whether you're donating or shopping 🛒🛍️ they're always there to help. I'm so thankFul for this place and so is my Lil peanut, Matthew. 🙏👶💃

I'm not sure but they always need volunteers. This is a really good organization doing a lot of work in the community
I would assume but don't know for sure.
If you're in need of food, we have our Pantry every Wednesday, but you must be approved before receiving food. Please visit our website and our Pantry page to fill out an application online or to print an application and then bring it with you. Once approved, you'll be informed as to when your time slot is on Wednesdays. https://www.feednc.org/feedncpantry
Actually, there is plenty of food to take home at the soup kitchen after you eat your lunch or get it to go. the only day you can't get food to take home after you eat, is on Wednesday,. Because they have pantry day that day. Every other day though, you have a very large amount of fresh vegetables, sweets fresh fruits breads and some meat and deli items. Also check out the Christian Mission. You can get HUGE amounts of all kinds of food twice a month, and can get ten items from the store. There is a church that gives out precooked TV dinners once a week too. I think it's the bridge church on 21, but not sure. One of the other places can tell you, then there are several loaf and fishes locations arround like Ada Jenkins in Davidson and lots more. You will need a referral for those from school, social worker, church, etc. May God bless you and your family. 💜
