Update 2022, you'll be charged out the nose to use the boardwalk, beach, fishing jetty, McCook Park (Even just the playground!) They went full greed. $15 per person just to WALK IN. They wanted $75 for myself, wife and 3 kids to take a walk on the boardwalk. We tried to go in by Cini park. Nope!
The boardwalk is excellent, short 1 mile roundabout. However, it has two entrances. The first is by the FLEXIBLE RAILROAD BRIDGE, the other is next to ELINIES restaurant on Main St. The walk is very SCENIC , informative with rest stops along the way. ENJOY! The town does not allow dogs or bicycle riding.
No D.F. They now charge over by Cini Memorial park to go to the beach/boardwalk. We were fishing on the dock, wanted to go for a walk on the boardwalk, and for myself, wife, 3 kids they wanted $75!! Ridiculous!!!
No dogs are permitted on the Boardwalk. Many people bring their dogs to play on the beach. Particularly, in the off season.
Yea, you have to walk it one-way though. Park in the "hole in the wall" parking behind gumdrops and lollipops restaurant. You can walk the niantic boardwalk down to the niantic River but you'll have to walk through town to get back to your car.
Before summer and when school starts after August
Not from the boardwalk directly. On the other side of the bridge, not the boardwalk, you may be able to in certain spots. I have to say I've never seen anyone crabbing there. This is just my opinion.
No jellyfish this early in season, no life gaurds this early as the water is still cold , there is a small playground in a small walk , come see and enjoy and no shark attacks ever that im aware of and yes you can swim
Because there are many people who know that we are humble and friendly
