My experience with Basement Solutions 911 and, more specifically, the owner Scott has been terrible. In short summary, I asked basement solutions 911 to come to my house to evaluate an issue I had of water seeping through my cider block wall. Basement Solutions (John) told me I needed to replace the entire waterproofing system that was already installed and provided me with a warranty guaranteeing that after executing there would be no water seeping through any wall or floor. The work was executed in January 2022. It is now Aug 2022, I still have water seeping through my cinderblock wall AND Scott and his company refuse to return any of my calls or emails. Now, Scott and his company didn't outright ignore me when I initially called them in February to indicate that the issue had not improved. But there were multiple instances where I had to call 3,4,5 times before someone would call me back. Additionally, there were multiple instances where Scott communicated that he would show up to my house and he never showed. It was clear from the first conversation we had after I communicated that the issue was not resolved, that basement911/Scott wanted to do the absolute bare minimum to make to look like they were trying to help me. But they already had my money for the work, so I was not a priority. The kicker was the one potential solution they proposed months later (a spray on vapor barrier) is exactly what I was told was not an option as it would only last 3 years when they initially came to my house to evaluate the issue. This company is not currently registered with the better business bureau. Also they ignored all communication from the BBB when I attempted to use the BBB as a means to mediate our situation. If you want to use a company that is looking to do right by their customers if something does not go according to plan, I suggest looking elsewhere. It's clear this company is ill-equipped, lacks knowledge, and/or just doesn't care. And if Basement Solutions or Scott cares to discuss this review with me my contact info is in the emails and messages you've ignored for the last 2+ months.

Jim came out to give me an estimate on what I thought as a homeowner was a lot of mold in my attic. Rest assured he steered me in the right direction, and told me not to worry it was the perfect DIY project Due to the insufficient amount of mold compared to the amount that is typical for professional care . It’s hard to find that kind of honesty and professionalism today. Highly recommend going to Basement Solutions if you’re looking for just that. Hands down would go to them again if I am in need of the services they provide.

Five stars for sure! Last summer during a storm I had my egress basement window well fill with water to the point the window came crashing in. I called Basement Solutions and several other contractors. Scott McFarland came out to check it out and write up an estimate for a window well tap along with repairing a crack in the foundation. Scott explained how everything will work and how to solve the problem. The cost was a fraction of what I heard from other contractors who kept trying to upsell new sump pits tearing up the entire floor and more. Nearly a year later I haven’t had any further issues with that window. Aside from all of that the crew was on time, explained everything as they worked, and cleaned up when they were done. The experience couldn’t have been better.

Basement Solutions is one of the best waterproofing contractors serving PA, NJ, DE and MD. Our technicians are trained well and know water. Our sales people aren't just sales trained, they actually understand our service and how to keep water out of your home.
Much of the work our basement waterproofers perform involves fixing failed systems installed by other contractors. Over the past 20+ years, there are a few errors that we consistently see that other contractors perform. We find these errors and correct them...for the last time.
Basements flood when groundwater around the foundation begins to build up. Unfortunately, water builds up in the soils next to your home more than in other areas of the yard. Proper grading, drainage and good quality waterproofing systems keep it out.
Water will leak into your basement anywhere it can, including around stairs, through cracks, and from old, rusty windows. Our experts can determine the best plan of action to keep it outside.
Most definitely. Most of our work comes from referrals, so you may know them already. Call them. We can provide you with references and will gladly do so.
Your water discharge should be at minimum 36 inches away from the basement, we recommend going as far away as your landscape will accommodate
Absolutely! In most cases, an outside system will be more expensive, and many obstaclescan obstruct this type of install. However, it is the best approach, for a long lasting, waterproof system.
If you have a poured basement, nine out of ten times it can be addressed in that specific location byaddressing a crack. If you have a block wall, you will most likely need a system installed.
This is the preferred order: An automatic switch- over natural gas or propane generator is always the best bet. Battery back-ups, or water back-ups, are effective, but we only be recommended if a generator is not possible.
A waterproofing system is all about how much capacity the system can move. The pump size will be determined by several factors. Our experts will insure you install the proper size pump.
Sump pumps are sized by horsepower. What is important is volume of water moved per/hour. This will be affected by several items in your installation. The length of the discharge pipe and the height from the basement to ground level where it will need to be pumped.
Any contractor that has been in the business for a significant period of time (like us 20+ years)and has done hundreds of installs, has had a failure at some point. This isn't bad and it happens. Water is a formidable opponent. When speaking with the contractor, ask them how they handle the situation. What you want to hear is; Yes, I have had a failure. Let me explain what caused it, and how we addressed it, so it wouldn't happen again.
We absolutely do. We are happy to share information with you on best practices and even do it yourself tips when it is something you can accomplish on your own.
