The people who run the haunt at Pennhurst Aslyum really stepped if up this year with all of the new things they added. I was blown away with some of the new anamatronics and bigger than life-size monsters they had. And the atmosphere is always second to none! Keep up the awesome work!

Went last weekend for opening night and it was so fun! Got the regular pass and waited less than 15 minutes in lines, but also got there early. The lines get long quickly. The Tunnels were definitely the scariest attraction too.

Had a great time last night 🎃ᥬ☠️᭄ ᥬ👻᭄

I purchased two tickets $75 each last year mid Oct & couldn’t make it due to personal reasons. When I messaged them over a week ago asking if I can use them this year since I never claimed them. I was told to give them a few days, 10 days went by …tried to get an update this morning 8am & my message was read but not answered. I guess I’ll take my $150 as a loss. I will never spend my money here again. I could have gotten some answer even if it was a no but to read my message & never respond all day that’s unacceptable! Be blessed tho 😊

They have a ghost tour without props and actors. They allow you to take pictures to see if anything shows up.
After you hit the book now button(on the Pennhurst Asylum website)it will lead you to another page to order the tickets. Scroll down a bit and it will give you an option to select a date/time and how many tickets you'd like. I hope this helps! If you still need help I'm more than happy to help you!😊
Hauntings happen when spirits are unrested. It's truly sad when mental illness was thought to be a bad thing and totured like they were. The horrific things that was done to those people are terrible. So you all go there to look around like its a great place. Men woman and children were tortured. So yes it's haunted. With the spirits of those poor souls that were tortured. Its very sad that they can't move on to the Lord because they were mad out to be possessed by demons rathan than just the proper help and medication they needed. Very sad place and u all walk around it like its some fun place. Sad. Very sad.
Is very particular on letting people go through the facility alone unless you're doing paranormal investigations. That's about the only way you can go in there alone.
It's definitely really haunted. Pennhurst does offer a Halloween attraction (with actors) during the fall for fun/entertainment. You, however, can also do real overnight paranormal investigations for much of the year.
There are 2 nurses who aid in the tour. I am sure there are lots of workers still alive because it closed in the 1980's. I am not sure if any administrators are still alive but probably there are.
Yes they do
Yes, Phoenixville is nearby. Lots of places to eat there!
Lol. A few years ago, I had my camera out to take vids and was yelled at by the tour guide that no cameras were allowed. Place is a joke, I'd rather explore it as pennhurst the asylum, would be way more chilling than the "haunted" attractions.
Buy the vip tickets. Roughly two hours.
As to the best of my knowledge, there have not been any animals used in investigation.
No it isn't. Not sure what their events are like, but you can buy a private tour for a group of people any time of year i believe
No. They give you a ticket with access to attractions. I thought it was fun. Apparently other people are just not fun lol
Haunt combo pass (three attractions) - $45 VIP - (Front of the line, 3 attractions) - $75 Photography Tour - $58 History Tour - $40 Paranormal Investigation - $99 - $125
Don't show up too early! You will not be allowed on the grounds.
We did one last year during 2020 so our group was very small. Only about 15 people, it's not really something I would take a kid to. Maybe 16+ would enjoy it but under 16 would probably get bored. We didn't have any kids at all in our group.
I think that the property is so overrun with the public at this point that if there ever was any type of activity, the chances of experiencing it now are pretty slim. In my opinion, once a place like that is so populated, it "scares away" any kind of feeling or presence it may have had. It is now so commercialized, it's hard to imagine anything like that would want to stick around. Hey, I could be totally wrong and maybe that is exactly what brings a lot of it out though! Who knows?
Plus I think its all cash sales so make sure u got that. I know the souvenirs were cash only, so I can only guess the same for tickets.
I read that the military discount is $10 off for any combo or VIP. You are allowed up to 6 members if your immediate family. No discounts available online so you must buy your tickets at the door & show your ID at the time of purchase.
They're all out side leading to the attractions
Royersford would be closest. Google Royersford motels to see what wl workfor you
You can, but I don't recommend it as you may be confused with the actors. It's also really not scary at all, so you won't be needing a diaper.
I've seen people dress up a little, but I don't think you can go full blown costumes and stuff
No, not open usually. However, you can check the website for the most updated information, but historically, this has only been open seasonally, Sept thru beginning of November, for paid photography and history tours, and for the haunted house business.
I don't think they're open on a regular day to day standing schedule. As far as I know, they run set events. Best to look at their website to see what they have coming up, and call/email them directly to book.
I'm pretty sure it's closed this time of the year
Today is the last day , they do have paranormal all night sessions.
November and 10:30pm is when ticket sales stop the nights they are open but it stays open till the last people are threw
They shouldn't be, but yes they are. Sorry
I don't think there is an age restriction. You could always call them to be certain though
Heres a link to the costs https://pennhurstasylum.com/buy-tickets/#/select
You can buy one. They have a huge merch and food area but it is not free
No
I have been going for years . Changes often very scary, great actors who never leave character. I wouldnt recommend children unless they dont scare easy!!!!
On their website there is a list of all dates and times the attraction is open for the haunts.
It is open for Halloween haunts or for overnight ghost hunts through ghost hunts usa in may and June for 149 a person
It's only "officially open" during the Halloween season. Otherwise, difficult to get up to with a vehicle without being noticed
They will scan the barcode on your phone at the eticket booth.
Yes its a walk through..the mayflower is the only building on premise that you can actually take pics of..a lot of history has happened in this corridor so certainly do your research on pennhurst if you haven't and watch the documentary as there's a lot of footage in this building that's in that documentary...its called suffer the little children, very intriguing and I'm just going to put this out there I just returned Fri. From my yearly visit to pennhurst and a lot has been added this year to the attraction so I ghighly recommend it as usual..and for definitive answer no actors in mayflower you explore the designated areas at your own pace
Yes I recommend getting the VIP pass, in all its about 80 dollars per person and if you're coming from a distance then I recommend going on the website and finding the day you'd be interested in going because the lines at the attraction can get to appoint where they can be so backed up they will close the show before everyone gets a chance to go through and you won't be subject for a refund..my group and myself prepurchased our tickets for Oct. 13th(Fri) and from doing this online guaranteed me to be able to do all 3 attractions without waiting in line
go to ghost hunts USA on Facebook or Google them
