I went fall festival today and during piñata part I notice that the guy in charge would not let any of the black kids hit and kept skipping over them even causing one to cry. I would say this church need to working on working with all cultures and races.

I Was Told That I have to sign papers and go into a meeting with elders to see if I would fit for their congregation in-order to become a member.. wow I never heard or seen such a thing.

A few years ago my family and I were members of Antioch church until we moved away. I always wanted my youngest to attend the Antioch summer camp, but she was a bit timid. This year she decided to be a part of it! BIGGEST MISTAKE!!!!!!! At first, she said everything was going good and she was excited! She began to have some disagreements with her cabin roommates. Just teenage stuff. Then, one night she came into her cabin to find all her pillow soaked in water. I told her to tell her counselor about changing cabins and the counselor said she must ask Stacey, the lady in charge. She decided not to make a big deal and still stayed there. I still can’t understand why. The girls then took the mosquito repellent and sprayed my teenagers bed sheets all over! She slept in those the rest of the week. Also, the girls hid her phone at one point. Andrew S, the youth leader, talked to all the girls together and made my daughter apologize to them and she did. They were never asked to apologize to my daughter all though they had ruined all of her possessions. One day before camp was over my daughter asked Stacey if she could please change cabins (since she was feeling threatened) and Stacey told her that she didn’t think that would be possible because “it wouldn’t look right!!!” I am extremely disappointed in the “leaders of this camp!” I cannot believe that if a teenager is feeling threatened and speaks to more than one adult about the situation nothing happens! I am thankful to God that nothing happened to my daughter while she was away in Antioch Church Camps “care.” I cannot imagine as an adult going through something like that and no one is there to help. One counselor my daughter was talking to said she didn’t even get paid for dealing with that and she didn’t! This will be the LAST time I ever allow my children to visit Antioch Church Camp!!! The “leaders” are not prepared for situations that may arise from our children! I wrote this not only for my daughter but for future camp visitors ☹️ I know who my daughter is as a teenager. I certainly know she is nowhere near perfect, but to hear her crying while telling me no one did anything to make her feel safe was heartbreaking for me!!! Yes, some people listened but nothing was actually done to resolve the situation. My daughter should have been heard and moved to another cabin immediately after the girls wet her bed with water. That should be completely unacceptable! This is how things happen to people! They speak up and no adult in charge takes correct action! I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO IF ANYTHING HAPPENED TO MY DAUGHTER WHILE AWAY @ ANTIOCH CHURCH CAMP!!!
