The room was a little out dated but that's the only negative. Its a three minute drive to downtown Galena. It is also next foor to a distillery that has great drinks and an awesome environment.

The motel and staff were nice. We would have stayed there more then one night except for some noise. My wife and I, along with out dog, went to Galena for the weekend. When we arrived, Tammy who was in the office, explained everything regarding the fees and room rate. We received email receipts right then and there. We were assigned room 32. All was good until bed time. There was a constant tapping coming from either the wall or ceiling that started that night. I called the front desk and Tammy came out to investigate. She heard the noise, apologized and told us there was nothing that could be done at the moment. She thought it could be a pipe. I thought maybe another room. Since the motel was full, that was not an option. That night I couldn’t sleep very well due to the noise. In the morning I looked for another place to stay. We packed our bags and went to the office. Tammy was there and told me she understood why we were leaving. She gave me a refund for the next night we were going to stay there and apologized for the inconvenience. When we go back to Galena we will consider staying there again. The rooms were nice, along with the staff, and it came at a good price. Our dog was comfortable and there is lots of room to walk the dog.

The best budget hotel I've ever stayed at - period. And by budget, I just mean the price. The room was super clean and spiffy, amazing views from up on the hill above Galena, firepit you can use out back, Distillery next door and excellent staff.
