Gracious Hospitality and the attention to detail were second to none - The JailHill Inn is a must-visit Gem for those that want to get away and truly relax in a welcoming and well-designed lux B&B. We WILL be returning as soon as we’re able!

We just returned from a four night stay while our kids were at a nearby farm camp. Everything was absolutely perfect - cannot recommend this place highly enough. The location is fantastic; we never needed our car during our entire stay. The attention to detail Matthew has cannot be matched - he is a true expert in fostering a sense of total relaxation and it is obvious this place is a labor of love for him. We loved spending time in our suite, in the lushly landscaped front courtyard, in the spacious back patio area during the evening hours and in the dining room for breakfasts. Even the walks up and down the staircases in the inn were enjoyable as you can pause to take in the views of Galena and the wonderful and thoughtful artwork lining the walls. Our favorite part of our stay was probably the food - both the morning breakfasts and the evening "snack" (much more than a snack) were so delicious and really added to the experience. We hope to return to the Jail Hill Inn many more times in the future.

This will be our home when we visit Galena. The service and attention to detail that is provided is what makes it so nice. Matthew the inn keeper has done a great job with the rooms and making it a true vacation getaway.

My boyfriend and I recently spent a getaway weekend at the Jail Hill Inn. The experience was well beyond our expectations. Upon arrival we were greeted by Matthew and immediately felt welcomed and taken care of. He helped us plan out our afternoon and accommodated our early arrival. It wasn’t until checking into our room that we understood the level of service he provides each and every guest. It started with an amazing cheese and wine tray delivered to our room and oh by the way he did an amazing job with my food allergies. The next morning we shared a wonderful three course breakfast that was not only delicious but presently beautifully. The breakfast was incredibly filling and there was no need to eat out! We were able to relax and enjoy our weekend and look forward to visiting again soon! Thank you Matthew for all that you do!
