It was very cool to be able to go in and see the marine animals up close. I even got to hold a live starfish.

Very informative little aquarium. The volunteers were so friendly and knowledgeable. The kids loved the touch tank, all the different sea creatures, the fossil room and getting to meet a sea turtle.

All of the staff made the experience so memorable, especially Frank! We had so much fun and learned so much.

It's been a few weeks (and I live in California), but I believe it cost $5/person.
They welcome any contributions
Yes we also paid $5 a person for entry and were told entry was valid all day. The center was small but very well worth the money! We would have paid double but I can't imagine coming back later in the day, you can see everything in the first trip for sure.
Thanks! One of the folks doing beach clean up was headed over there and took him over!
No it's all optional. I just came back from there today
Hi Rudy, You are dog friendly at our facility but dogs are not allowed on the beach in order to protect bird and turtle nesting. There is a small dog park on the island.
We're closed on Christmas eve, Christmas, and the the day after. I'm sorry about that. I think the Lighthouse on Tybee Island is open on Christmas eve day, here's their website and phone: tybeelighthouse.org and 912-786-580.
Admission is $5 per person, kids 4 and under are admitted free. Admission is good all day, 10 am to 5 pm, so you can come and go to take advantage of the different in-house programs offered throughout the day, such as behind-the-scenes tours of the animal husbandry area and sea turtle feedings.
