So this is a rather long post. I moved back to my hometown after 30+ years and decided to put in a pool since for the first time I live on acres vs a postage stamp in a city. In looking for a spot I realized Lynches River ran power lines over 1/2 my property. I also realized that they had ran power from the center of my backyard to 3 other houses in 3 different directions vs running power from the road to those houses down the perimeter of each property...must have saved them thousands at some point. I asked if they had documented permission and was told it didn't matter because it was grandfathered in. The first guy from Lynches River was adamant that my only option was to bury the lines at approximately 10k. Well that blew my pool budget. The second guys said I could replace the light pole in my yard and redirect the lines. The lines would need to be unhooked regardless of that poles location just to replace it. It was literally scaling and rotten at top and bottom. Turned out, according to them all the poles in my yard were expired by more than a decade. They estimated around $1900 but had to put together an estimate and get back to me. When they came back it had increased to $2300 to replace poles that were expired. I don't really get how maintenance of poles that should have already been replaced is a homeowners responsibility when I pay for their service monthly. I paid it but will never think it's right that they continue to run lines to three other houses with lines across my entire backyard in three directions yet when I needed one rotted pole replaced and moved it cost me $2300.

Great power company. They get service back on way quicker than Duke. My parents live next door they have Duke and I have Lynches, my power has been out way less than their power. When we have storms I have kept power but they have been with out and take Duke 3days to get service back on.

If I could give you a zero I surely would! on Friday 07/2022 your hired crew came in and decided to cut tree limbs down on our property and just leave them there, they they said it would be a one to two week turn around time before they would come back and pick them up, totally the most craziest thing I have ever seen, they should have someone to come and pick their mess up the day they make it. I bet if we did not pay our electric bill it would be turned off pronto. I am very unsatisfied with this, we just our gardener to cut and clean our property getting ready for July 4. next time have someone to clean up your mess when they make it.
