Great fishing pretty much year round. Been here when it was the original bridge to get between islands. Caught 7ft, 6ft sharks, spadefish, black sea bass, black drum, bluefish, and Spanish mackerel during summer. Speckled trout, flounder, sheepshead, and redfish during late summer out through fall and winter. Tropical storms will push in different species, also. Best bet is to bring heavy tackle for the deeper water, medium for shallow, and light for using lures like voodoo shrimp or gotcha plugs. It's fun as hell out there if you know the right spots and weather is right. Use cut bait like mullet and squid... Use live bait like mud minnows, shrimp, fiddler crab inshore. Larger live baits like live mullet, croaker, small whiting, and large live shrimp will get slammed if you just drift the bait with no weight on it. Also, tarpon are hanging around the pilings. Enjoy the chaos. And wrecked tackle.

Didn't catch anything but it has decent restrooms and a nice area!

Peaceful place to park and look at the water…when I’m in SC, I park here and just enjoy the peace and beautiful view.

You can park real close
Thanks so much for the information
The broad River fishing pier is a half of a mile
Yes, you can use a castnet as long as you have a fishing license. Be aware that the current is extremely strong except at tide change.
No sorry I don’t know the answer
No the pier is free. You need to have a sc saltwater fishing license.
I don't think there is a limit ... I had 4 out no problems .. it's a very long bridge pier.. also it's kinda shallow till mid point ..
Wright bobie at walmart in the back where they sell the fishing gear
Yes a saltwater license is all you need
No, it has bathrooms but other than that there is nothing there
Yes, there are Male and Female bathrooms along with a water fountain at the entrance to the pier.
Squid or shrimp the crabs will steal your bait in shallow best bet is go further out into deeper water
They do not have bait for sale at the pier, but wal-mart is only a mile or 2 up the road. There is plenty to choose from in the sporting goods section.
Doesn't look like it. Saw a sign before going out on the pier "No Pets Allowed"
Yes
There is a side creek under the bridge or down near the boat launch area.
For recreational fishing, shrimp should start being available mid June and can run as late as January it all depends on the water temperature and the weather. July and August tend to be the best months for Inland shrimping.
