First, the hotel clerk was very nice. Pleasant and accomodating. The first disappointment came after check in, we were told the pool was closed for repairs but that was not noted on the Marriott App. The hotel walls were damaged, wall paper was peeling and bubbling. When the elevator opened it busted inside, the panelling was coming apart, metal plates were damaged and smelled of mold or mildew. When we arrived at the room , the door was propped open. We were worried to go in there, it was nearly midnight and not sure who had been in there or why the door was propped open but the front desk gave us another room just to be safe. However the second room carpet was musty and damp, the desk chair pleather was peeled and cracking severely. The bathroom was well over due for a refresh. Moldy spots and old materials. Lastly, the bed frame was broken and the bed fell off to one side and my 4 yo rolled out on to the floor. If this was a 1 star hotel I would have given it a 2 star review but for a Fairfield Inn it would have received 0 if I could have. This hotel is about 3-4 years overdue for a remodel on the rooms. Doubtful this place remains a Marriott property with out significant renovations.

The staff was excellent. Room was clean and the property seems to be well kept. But the noise was overwhelming. We were placed on the 2nd floor and the guests on the 3rd floor sounded like a herd off cattle on bubble wrap. We could clearly hear a toilet flush or shower run in either direction. I’ve stayed at low rate roach motels with better sound suppression. The owners of this facility seem to like to hang “out of order” signs on anything they don’t want to repair or service; the pool has “equipment issues” for several months (as I was told by staff) and the only access to the motel is through the front door as the side doors are “out of order”. But again, compliments to the staff for being great, but I would probably look somewhere else before staying here again.

Positive: I liked the location and cleanness of this hotel best. Negative: There was not anything that I did not like about this hotel. However, my room was on the 1st floor and the outer curtain did not close completely to prevent anyone from looking into my room as I watched TV, dressed, or slept.

The hotel is nice. It is very close to the highway so noise is an issue. The gym is small but enjoyable when you're there alone.
