The only thing good about this place is it appears clean. They do not follow a treatment and don't notify the family of any concerns. I am praying my aunt is removed. Her legs were double their normal size because they don't elevate her legs, after informing them multiple times and it is in her treatment plan. This place is a disgrace. You pay many thousands of dollars per month to live here, you would think there would be some compassion for the aging. Avoid this place.

The staff at Saybrook at Haddam have shared such critical expertise, while guiding my family through transitioning our loved one...all the while leading with their huge hearts, passion and wisdom. We could never have navigated this transition with such a tremendous outcome without them by our side.

My mother has been living at The Saybrook for over three years. Moving from a house to an apartment was a big adjustment. She's happy with her living space and very grateful for the welcoming, supportive community at The Saybrook. The staff has been terrific – can't praise them highly enough for how they've handled everything during the COVID-19 pandemic.

I have been a facilities maintenance director in Connecticut for 30 years. Much background in SNF's from Cromwell to Niantic and between. My four plus years at the Saybrook at Haddam have been busy and fantastic ! The support from managers and coworkers is second to none. From my perspective, problems are solved, property is beautiful, building is gorgeous and in compliance . Most important, the residents are truly loved and cared for as if they were family, and they are ! The activities here are stimulating and creative , from music to car shows, we have it going on ! Dietary is strong also , some of the events I have seen are like food shows . Daily meals vary greatly and are delicious . Care staff are gifted and apply custom care to all our residents needs with the passion and love I can be proud and comfortable with. Our house keepers are the strongest teem I have ever had ! They have really stepped up to the plate with all that's going on with Covid-19 and have made things as safe as could be. I can go on and on , Barry Osalza

Not sure. Wouldn't be surprised tho, now that the variant has been found in the U.S.
As we are located in Haddam, we have many options depending on what kind of shopping you're looking for. We have several local grocery stores, pharmacies, and boutique shops within minutes, and retail shopping at Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets, Walmart, Homegoods, Marshalls/TJ Maxx, and more, are nearby as well.
