A strange review...reserved a room on a moments notice. The hotel was average, not grand, not bad. The staff was nice. First room we were assigned we couldn't open the door as if there were people in it. I went to the front desk and was assigned a different room....open it to discover it wasn't prepared or cleaned. Returned to the front desk and decided to leave and stay elsewhere. Here's the strange part...the staff were excellent and once back on the road they agreed to give a 100% refund on a non-refundable room via Expedia. So was this a bad experience or a positive? I have no idea...we didn't end up staying in Boone which was inconvenient but the hotel refunded us when they technically didn't have to. I am disappointed with the lack of quality of the property yet extremely satisfied with the customer service of the very same people responsible for the poor conditions. So I have no recommendations either way....

Positive: The location was good. The staff was very friendly and changed our room when there was a problem with the A/C. The swing and chairs at the front of the hotel were nice. The beds were comfortable and the remote worked great for the television. Negative: It is very outdated. The luggage carts were dirty and one was almost impossible to move. The first room the A/C could not be adjusted and the second room had a smell like they had sprayed for bugs. There was a dead bug in the hallway.

Stayed here a few years ago (2018) after deciding to do a Mountain Vacation with my Son. We stayed on the 2nd floor. Room was very clean and the Staff was very pleasant during our stay. The Breakfast was delicious and the chairs out front were a nice touch to just relax in the morning before a day of exploring. Here are my only complaints. At the time (Not sure about now) We ordered a Pizza Delivered, but had to meet the Delivery Guy in the Lobby. Being we were watching a movie, It was a bit annoying. But not a game changer. We tried to enjoy the Indoor Pool, but it was frigid in the Room. Asked a few times if the room Temp could be raised, Was told they would look into it, but was ignored each time. Best I remember the Room Temp was around 62 degrees. I did reach out to Quality Inn when Asked how my Stay was and they Responded quickly and apologized. For what it's worth. I would still stay here again for an overnight or a weekend.

Nice staff and fairly clean. Basically, it’s what we paid for. Our room was clean and stocked with towels and toiletry items. The pool was fair. The water and surrounding area were clean, but there was so much humidity in the air you could clearly see the walls were deteriorating and there appeared to be a fair amount of mold.

Everything seemed pretty normal when I went on the 17th except breakfast. They made up grab bags vs their regular breakfast.
