Love to do my swimming lap there when the kid can play on the other side of the pool.

Why only one day a week the pool is open? The mayor needs to get off smoking rocks and use common sense

This would be amazing for all ages if it was open to the community more then 1 day a week. It’s only open every Saturday from 10:30am - 6:30pm. Is there a specific reason the pool is only open 1 day a week, is it a staffing issue? I think having this pool open daily to the community is important especially in the Summer months when the kids are on their summer vacations. Is there maybe like a summer swim program or something like that? I really think that if kids had this pool to be able to go swimming on these hot days could be a great opportunity for not only the kids, the residents of Danbury I know there’s a lot that goes into having a community pool the biggest thing being safety! Having a life guard there during pool hours is imperative! I’m sure there are a lot of high school students or recently graduated young adults that would love a position like that. There’s so many great ideas & potential for this to be such a great asset to The city of Danbury my children are young adults now, but this would’ve been amazing to have when they were younger, a lot of times it’s hard to find things to do with your family that’s not so expensive etc. I really hope that we as a community can come together & get something that’s already there and put it to good use for families to make their own great memories! And also doesn’t have to be limited to just kids, there can be adult problems for seniors, could do a couples swim night there’s so many fun things that could be done if we just make them happen. I know everything comes down to money, We have so many great people that donate to many different causes, why not add the community pool to the list. I really think it could be something that Danbury residents would love! There’s really not much to do around Danbury anymore. The arcades are pretty much gone. There’s no roller skating rinks we have an ice rink but not everyone wants to go ice skating. I remember when Time out was in the mall that was 1 of my favorite places to go in the mall then they closed it down. So many places that were fun are no longer here. I think the community would love to have the pool open more then 1 day a week. I could be wrong but I don’t think I am lol maybe one day hopefully sooner rather then later it will be open longer.
