I will suggest you call the adoption office and give them the information on the cats. They will be able to advise you on room available, surrendering an animal, etc.

Puppies come in frequently, your best bet is to call because they come & go pretty quickly all the time. @ that age you can teach a puppy to be calm & interact with your dog well. It wouldn't hurt to set up something where your dog could meet any dog you may be interested in as well. Good luck!
