I have only the highest regard for Sensei David, his immeasurable wealth of knowledge, compassion, professionalism and kindness. He is easy to communicate with, he listens, he involves me in the process and is responsive to my needs at each visit. Finding ASOMNE has been life changing. After the first treatment I could walk without limping for the first time in over a year. I chose to continue weekly appointments to go beyond the surface of chronic pain to treat systemic conditions and begin healing at deeper levels. I will always be forever grateful for getting my life back, one treatment at a time. Namaste

I recently started acupuncture with Dave and quickly noticed improvements not just in my symptoms (tennis elbow), but also in the deeper rooted issues that he believes are causing them. He is immensely thoughtful about his approach. The first session includes a very thorough consultation where he gets to know you well beyond the symptoms that brought you to him. He uses that info to create a holistic plan, including chinese herbs, mediation, etc. His background is impressive and he is a really nice person to boot. Cheryl is incredible as well and you might be convinced that her sole mission in life is to make everyone else’s life easier. I’m so grateful to have found this practice.

Questions & Answers

Will acupuncture help with restless legs?

Yes it can! We have successfully treated RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) many times. It can be caused by several holistic (body/mind) stress factors. Often a combination of chronic insomnia, fatigue, and frustration or other mental stressors are involved. There can be many causes, physical, psychological, and behavioral. All are treatable with comprehensive diagnosis and skillful acupuncture. Before you turn to medication, try this holistic, do-no-harm approach.

Is this type of treatment covered by medical insurance?

Insurance coverage depends on your insurance plan. At ASOMNE in East Lyme, Connecticut, our office manager will call your insurance company for you to find out the details of your plan before you begin treatment. Aetna, Cigna, Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and Medicare among other insurance plans often include acupuncture benefits. Insurance companies can be tricky to get information from. We recommend that our office call on your behalf to be sure that you receive an accurate and full understanding of the acupuncture benefits of your specific plan. If you are a U.S. military veteran, you should know that we work very extensively with the Veterans Administration.

Oh your service is covered by Medicare A&B for chronic lower back pain (fractured vertebrae)? I have had no surgery
