While they offer many services for the elderly they don't offer a alternative, choice or even ask (maybe because they think it's kind of morbid to ask the elderly/patient or family) at their admission process, during and after that I've know...about a life insurance policy for the same. Due to the statue of limitations in terms of divulging patient's information people can come across of certain things such as...life Insurance in the event of death, when the event hits a family. In the time of need we had to cover our own burial expenses because we were unaware that my father didn't have one and he happened to stop with his life Insurance because it was his decision on one time or moment in his life. We had to rely on the GPA/state burial assistance from DHS due to the promptness of the situation. Maybe this "highlights" can serve as a improvement or as a add on into their services. Also we weren't told about one or asked of any life Insurance of their own if they had one or happen to have one during my father's staying at the program when he was alive. Disappointed. 😒

Rj Tyler | Aug 30, 2022
Leona Raypon | Aug 30, 2022

There are many different adult day care providers. For example, PACE Organization of RI is a day program for elders who need assistance with activities of daily living. The program provides social and recreational activities, as well as meals and transportation. Other adult day care providers include nursing homes, churches, and community centers.

What are the levels of aged care?

Mike Dawson | Aug 30, 2022
Leona Raypon | Aug 30, 2022

There is no one definitive answer to this question as the level of care required for elderly citizens can vary greatly depending on their individual needs. However, in general, there are three main levels of aged care: 1) Residential Aged Care - This type of care is typically offered in nursing homes or residential facilities and provides full-time support and care for elderly residents. 2) Home Care - Home care involves providing supportive services to elderly citizens in their own homes. Services can range from light housekeeping and grocery shopping to more intensive 24/7 care. 3) Day Care - Day care centers offer social and recreational activities, as well as meals and occasional overnight stays, for elderly citizens who do not require full-time residential care.

Why aged care is important?

Emily Jean | Aug 30, 2022
Leona Raypon | Aug 30, 2022

Aging is a natural process that happens to every living creature on earth, including humans. Just like infancy and adolescence are crucial growth periods, so is aging. While the care needs of infants and adolescents can be very different, both require special attention and support. Aged care is important because it helps seniors maintain its quality of life as they age. It allows them to stay in their homes longer, stay connected to their community, and remain as independent as possible. PACE Organization of RI is a great example of an organization that provides vital aged care services to seniors.

What does a home health aide do?

Eric Johnson | Aug 30, 2022
Leona Raypon | Aug 30, 2022

A home health aide (HHA) is a person who provides basic support and care for another person in their own home. This may include help with activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing, eating, or toileting. It may also include providing transportation to doctor's appointments or managing medications. PACE Woonsocket is a program that provides comprehensive care for seniors in their homes. Our team of caregivers includes HHAs who are specially trained to meet the unique needs of our patients. In addition to providing basic care, our HHAs also provide social and emotional support to help our patients stay engaged in life and connected to their community.

What is the difference between home health and hospice care?

Betsy Dane | Aug 30, 2022
Leona Raypon | Aug 30, 2022

Home health care is a type of care that allows people to receive medical care and assistance in their own home. This type of care can be very helpful for those who are unable to leave their home or for those who need more assistance than what can be provided by family or friends. Hospice care, on the other hand, is a special kind of care that is focused on providing support for those who are terminally ill. This type of care can provide relief from pain and other symptoms as well as emotional and spiritual support. PACE Woonsocket offers both home health and hospice services. We understand that each person's situation is unique, and we work with our patients and their families to create a plan of care that meets their standard.
