Nicely planned tour options that are mostly inclusive. Hotels were mediocre in most places as was the food . The biggest problem was the air travel. Do not book your airline tickets through this tour group. We were left stranded in Italy; according to airline company, we did not have tickets to return to our home country. We had to purchase tickets at the airport to the tune of another $3000. After a month of finger pointing and minimal communication from Perillo we have been told check is in the mail. No explanation no apology.

Our travel agent used Perillo Tours, and they were fantastic. We were seven traveling in all. The hotels and tours were amazing. Their suggestions about itinerary changes were excellent. They were great to work with. I can't say enough wonderful things. Thank you!

We took the Marco Polo tour in May. We enjoyed the sights and our tour leader Irene was outstanding. Loved Venice and Rome. Florence was just ok. Hotels were good. The one in Venice we thought was the best. The only disappointment was the food. The restaurants Perrilo used were average at best. They gave us very limited choices. We were offered bland veal dishes 4 times during the vacation. They gave us very little pasta dishes. This is Italy!! Salads were bland,no olives,no tomatoes. Desserts were lousy. The only canoli we got was a small cafe we found on our own. The food for the entire trip was sub par. I read people's reviews before we went and after and I just think they eggasterated how great it was. Or they just don't know what good Italian food is. Living in Pennsylvania all my life I must say my mother and grandmothers made way better meals than I had in Italy. Overall we did enjoy our trip and it was very well organized. Just disappointed with the food.
