About a month and a half before our trip, I made a reservation to stay for a week. As we were driving to Wilmington, about 4 hours before check-in, we got a call informing us that our reservation had been cancelled due to a "mechanical issue" with the room. When we asked if there was any more information, the caller told us she wasn't allowed to tell us anything else. When we asked if someone else could call us back with more information, she told us no. When we asked if there were any other rooms, she told us no. There was no attempt to work with us, or even an apology. It was unpolite enough that we were wondering if it was a disgruntled employee trying to disrupt business as much as possible before quitting. We tried calling back an hour or two later to check if it was real. We were only able to get through to corporate, who told us that the reservation was still in their system. When we finally arrived, we gave them our names, and the lady who greeted us was friendly, to her credit. She informed us that the previous occupants had extended their stay. When her manager heard that, she snapped at the poor lady that it was a different room, and then snapped at us that she had called us and told us not to come. When we asked the lady if there were any other rooms, the manager stepped back where we couldn't see her and was obviously signaling to the lady not to tell us anything. This left us in the position of having to find a room at the last minute on a very busy weekend, so we had to pay far more than we had anticipated. Still, given our initial impressions, we felt like we dodged a bullet.

Make sure like a week before you go for your trip/stay you call them to make sure you have a reservation! We got there the afternoon to do our check in, saying we have no reservations when we had a confirmation email from them in our emails! They stated over book and didn’t even let us know while someone was requesting to say an extra day after they were suppose to check out, so make sure you truly have a reservation before leaving.

First thing that caught me off guard was the smell; a mix of cigarettes, cleaning products, and old food. Second thing that caught me off guard was the fact that my room key didn’t work. Most hotels that I’ve stayed in always had someone manning the front desk. At this particular location, the front desk closes after 9 or so. Using the lobby phone, I had to call the main office to get the room key issue resolved. The rooms themselves are garbage. There were cigarette burns in the sheets, the room smelled like the lobby, and there were ashes behind the bathroom door. The quality of the room and quality of the hotel definitely doesn’t match the price of the room.

My fiance and 3 month old baby just arrived yesterday for the 28 day extended stay. Within the first few hours we were complaining about a room 3 doors down from us with music to loud. The lady on duty just looked at us and said I'll call. The people above us sound like they are moving the furniture all around. There were 2 people sitting in the hallway outside our door talking on cell phones till 11:30 last night. When I called the office, they said there wasn't anything they could do about it. The only bathroom sink doesn't drain. I went to the office this morning and talked with the manager about the noise, and he said there wasn't anything he could do about that. He said they do have a 10:00pm noise curfew but wouldnt acknowledge the people outside our door on the phone last night were doing anything wrong. Its like they don't care about common courtesy. I would rather loose the 2,000$ i just spent and stay somewhere else then to deal with what we've dealt with. It hasnt even been 24 hours!!. I DO NOT recommend this place for anybody that wants quiet and respect.
