This location is very close to the airport. Initially, the room assigned to me had strong smoking smell; but the front desk was nice enough and accommodating and changed my room upon request. The new room was nice and clean. Breakfast was decent as well. I enjoyed my stay here.

Breakfast stops at 9am. If you show up at 8.45am, you won t be able to get some milk for you cereals, even if you re asking kindly. The tone of the answer is not so kind... No access to the pool, no access to the gym while not reported. I needed to access a conference room for a 30min video conference early (8am) without waking up my family. They refused to let me in the big conference room, arguing it was already used. I checked just before and after my call: no one in there... Overall, one of my worst experiences in a hotel. Sometimes, the hotel has problems but service compensates by being nice. Here, the hotel does not have many problems, and could be compensated by nice service. It s not.

There are so many reasons not to stay here. Pool and hot tub broken down. Lobby furniture stained, dirty, worn. There are spiderwebs all over the patio iron railings - who would want to sit there? Toaster in breakfast room did not work because the electrical outlet didn't work. Breakfast was to be served 7-10 on weekends. Suddenly it wasn't served after 9:00 on Saturday morning and if you didn't see the sign on a breakfast table (which you wouldn't see until you arrived for breakfast on Saturday), you wouldn't get breakfast. The various reasons we were told rooms aren't tidied daily in this hotel were "due to Covid" (by the way, there are no COVID restrictions in place here - no masks required and breakfast is being served just as it was prior to COVID), or "because you arrived yesterday", or "we don't have enough staff." I was told I couldn't have fresh towels because I'd arrived the day before. I asked if our room would be discounted due to lack of cleaning and lack of fresh towels. No response. The towels I'd asked for 3 times on the day after our arrival were delivered to our room 10 hours later but the wet towels on the floor were not taken away. I placed them in the hall outside our door but they were still there the following morning. Does anyone check the hallways at night or early morning? When I asked for a luggage rack I was told "We only have 2 in our hotel." Jennifer at the front desk was hostile and beyond rude, beyond unprofessional. I asked to speak to the manager 3 times over two days, had provided my cell number to desk staff (including Jennifer) 3 times for the manager to call me and I was told "she's not in, we'll have her call you this afternoon when she's in", then again "she didn't come in, she'll be in tomorrow," and "we don't know when she'll be in" ... despite my 3 requests and leaving my cell number, she's never called me, nor did the desk staff. I know, I've checked my phone which lists all incoming and missed calls, all messages. The staff at the front desk don't even look up when guests enter the front door. Who gets in with no business being here? The shower door leaks water onto the floor. Faucet in very tiny bathroom was broken. I reported it to the desk staff twice. The plumber or maintenance staff fixed it two days later. The soap rack in the shower is so small, you can't put your shampoo anywhere but on the floor of the shower. The towel rack in the bathroom above the toilet is so low the hand towels touch the toilet (ewww!). I was told towels will be replaced every 3 days, but there's only 1 hook in the bathroom to hang a wet towel. The only closet has hangers you cannot remove to hang clothes. There's a shelf under the closet hanging rod so you cannot hang a dress or coat to it's length. On arrival, as we were about to enter our room at 10:30 pm, a desk clerk opened our door to exit our room (I was frightened and thought our room was double booked) carrying a screwdriver and hairdryer in his hands which he'd just removed from our bathroom wall (when we were checking in, we observed him taking a call from a guest who needed a hair dryer) -clearly this hotel doesn't have enough hair dryers or luggage racks. Clarion owners - you should be ashamed of the way this hotel presents itself. You clearly don't care about your guests. The other five hotels I've stayed in this year have not had any of these issues and you know what? They're all living through COVID, too. Pay for staff and they will come. You're certainly not discounting your guests for the lack of care, the lack of services you excuse yourself for.

Room was very nice and on par with crowd rated 4+ star hotels. The facility itself is showing some maintenance needs (pool and hot tub out of order and unsanitary; ceiling tiles stained; stairwell fire doors all propped open) so I only gave 4 stars. Yanna at the front desk was helpful and efficient.
