Great experience with family!!!

So impressed with this theater. The seats were very comfortable to sit in for 3 hours. The temperature got a little cool but way better than too warm. The seat attendants were organized, pleasant and helpful. Absolutely great experience.

Fantastic show in a very good theatre. This is probably the largest theatre I've been here in Broadway district. Also looks quite modern compared to other venues. Despite that spacious area, sound system is still good and legroom was amazing. One of the spacious ones here. It gets crowded exiting after the show but I mean, if you're watching in the orchestra level, you have nothing to worry about.

They search them all. I don't think it will be an issue as long as it's not too big.
Contact whoever sold you the tickets. The weather rarely closes any show on Broadway.
The edge of the mezzanine is slanted at a high angle, so you wont have to worry if there is someone tall.
You can get them the evening of the performance but i would suggest buying them earlier in the day if you're going to be in the area to avoid the line and get a better choice of seats.
We went to our show on December 25th. The under studies were called in hours before the show. Outstanding performance and we gave them a standing ovation! It is hard to say if they will cancel shows in January. Just keep checking status. Hopefully the cast (s) will be able to perform throughout January.
We went last week. A smooth 2:45 run time. Give yourself extra time to exit as the building was full.
As has been said an aisle or end seat near a door might be best, but ultimately the box office will be able to give you the best answer.
An hour I would suggest, lines get long very quickly.
Yes you can purchase tickets online.
Yes.
Subject to change: Fri & Sat 10 am to 8:30 pm Sun 12 to 6 pm Mon - Thu 10 am to 8 pm
My gut is telling me YES!
Yes! They can search them however. I don't suggest bringing too much as there is not a lot of room.
Yes, no
If they sold you tickets, why not? Cheap tickets are sold down in time Square by the bleachers the last times we were there.
I downloaded the ticketmaster app and my tickets were there.
Yes
Yes. You must. It is mandatory by the city of New York for indoors.
The show is about 3 hours long with an intermission
I was there on Saturday and people were wearing everything, from sparkley nightclub-worthy dresses to cutoffs and everything in between. It's air conditioned, though, so you might get chilly!
Look for parking sites like ICON Parking you can reserve parking spaces a few months in advance.
he does not speak spanish
Doors to the ticket office open at 10am.
Leave them with the hotel
There's a car park right there ..no issues
I would suggest you contact the box office directly
I was told no when I asked the theater attendant, but on a review site I saw someone say they got one. So I'm not 100%sure but it sounds like there is.
Nope, not even water. Maybe some small candies but thats it. Expect your bag to be searched.
Yes
The Gershwin, like most if not all Broadway theaters, has a minimum age of five. Everyone attending a show must gave a ticket. If this was helpful, please click on Like for me. Thanks
The Gershwin was the first of the "new" theaters being built in the 70's at a cost then of $12.5 million. It opened as the URIS Theater on Nov. 28th, 1972. I am unaware of any full-scale remodel or refurbishment. If this was helpful, please click on Like for me.
There is very limited meter street parking, there is also garage parking in the area. If you pay in advance on line you get a reduced rate.
Yes can, while was there I had a extra hour. So I kill time and went the Hershey store n brought some stuff. So when I got to theater they let me in with the bags.
About 9 city blocks north of Hampton inn of times square
If you sell an they are box office pick up, they will transfer the names. Not sure if that cost anything though.
not if u find the right parking app. $21 but u had to be in before ten pm and out before midnight
Yes usually 30-45 minutes before. I went this past Saturday night and I arrived at 730 for the 8pm show and the doors were already opened and almost the whole theater was in their seats.
Yes
Yes
You can but you can't use it. But on the plus side the show is amazing
I am not sure about that, sorry.
No large bags or packages are allowed inside and photos/recordings are prohibited during the show so I think you can't enter with a selfie stick
It is a very nice place. Lots of people dress up, but you do not have to at all. I wear slacks, with a nice shirt and nice shoes, then feel fine. Nothing wrong with a suit. But you do not need it. Please click like if this was helpful.
Plan on going to nyc from atlanta to see wicked and maybe Jersey boys . Were can one stay st a reasonable hotel and easy transit to and from hotel
We had front row... All the way to the right... Missed some of the 2nd story details, but worth seeing all the detail!
A lot of Broadway shows don't allow any firearms, LEO or not. I haven't found any policy online about any weapons, though. When I went there, they only did bag searches, so you'd most likely be safe if you carry concealed and just have your badge with you just in case. I'm not LEO (the closest I've been is a correctional officer), so I don't have any personal experience but I read some LEO forums and they say the brotherhood is strong with NYPD. They've even said that they went through lines of the major tourist attractions faster by showing their credentials. So, you can either risk it or just play it safe and give them a call and document with whom you spoke with.
I can not be for sure, but they check tickets at front door so I think no.
You can always call the theater to find out. Or look it up on line.
Yes. Before and after shows and during intermission i know they are open.
Mostly everyone had printed out tickets but you can also use your phone.
No parking, getting any kind of vehicle anywhere close is a headache. Take the subway. 50 street station is directly at the Gershwin
I had just landed and literally ran in at 7:50 for an 8pm Thursday showing with a 9 year old. Here's something I learned the hard way. The pretzel I grabbed for my daughter was immediately removed from my purse. Should have put it on my coat pocket as they never checked that.
You can usually pick up tickets "already paid for and held at the box office" one hour prior to the performance time.
yes, across from the theater. ..Take the subway...It's much easier
They will not have this at the theater. There is one on eBay now for $10
Monday β Wednesday: 10:00 am - 8:00 pm. Thursday β Saturday: 10:00 am - 8:30 pm. Sunday: 12:00 pm β 6:00 pm.
There are about 10 restaurants in each block catering to every taste and price. You'll find something of your liking.
Your purse is allowed , They asked me not to open the leftovers in the theater I had with me from dinner.
Yes you can pick up the tickets from the theater...when you enter its on the left side.
