Loved our experience at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre! Staff was friendly and professional. Worked to move the line in quickly. The play "Mrs. Doubtfire" was excellent! The actors performers were all top notch. VERY bad decision to pull it off Broadway so soon!

I wish I could give 6 stars. Mrs. Doubtfire is an absolutely masterful musical. Great cast, amazing dialogues, perfect set design and dynamics of the play. Everything at the highest level. I highly recommend!

Right on the same block
,There is a box office and the tickets are good value there. Not sure of opening times.
Yes. We bought them 40 minutes before show time. Great seats, excellent show !
There's an elevator from top to bottom, it's an expansive, well decorated lift.
The last show was Sunday, October 27, 2019.
Orchestra is floor mezzanine is second level. Its a small theater, not like the majestic or wintergarden. Any seat you have will be amazing. I sat orch row L and i could see every detail of every costume
There's no dress code though often times people dress up for the theater.
Yes!
Lots of places are right nearby such as food trucks or fast casual chains. Also if you want a nice sit down restaurant that will usually have availability and will get you in and out in under an hour if needed, Utsav is great and pretty close by.
I am not sure..please call the theater
I didn't see one. I think not.
Yes
Penn Station is exactly 5193 feet from the theater. According to Google maps it takes 8 minutes by car and 13 minutes on foot. Hope this helps. Have a great time in the City !
Google the box office.
Yes I believe so. Not sure this is the best place to ask though. Why not go directly to the Beautiful site?
I have seen coat checks in some theaters but not bag checks. They actually search all bags coming in and ask for bags to be small. If you are staying at a hotel whether checking in or out, the hotel will usually hold bags for a few hours.
No they just check it like they would a purse.
Box office hours are 10AM to 8PM Monday - Saturday
You will walk down. Mezzanine is at street level.
Mon-Sat 10-8/ Sun noon to 6p
Call the box office
2 hrs 30 mins with 1 intermission
I would not call them wide. Probably standard. I was told by the person with whom I sat that they are better than average for leg room, with which I agreed (she attends many more shows than I).
I don't Drink alcohol
There are a number of garages in the theather district, nearly every block betweem 42nd and 48th. Expect to pay approx. $60 in parking amd allow 30-45 min to retrieve your car after the show due to crowds.
No
We went to Matinee. Show over by about 4:20pm. Took a bit to get out of the building. On way home by 4:45
Give the theater a call. They would have that answer for you
Pretty sure it's Jessie Mueller
2 hours, 20 minutes. Get the tkts app. 😁 Has all addresses, descriptions, running times, and more.
Just put in the address and it will take you right to it. There's a big sign advertising the play.
We sat in the fiont row in the middle located in the balcony and it was perfect.
Pretty sure it is. Takes a huge blizzard for them to close. 'The Show Must go on'...
It is not a term of sale. But, box office personnel will attempt to sell your ticket for you. If they succeed, then you simply use the money to purchase a ticket on another date. Through the years, I have asked that the box office sell my ticket in this manner a few times & they have always been able to do so. If a show is not doing well financially, they may not be able to do it successfully. "Beautiful" is very successful, so your chances are good. But, we hardly have winters any more, so you should not worry too much about inclement weather.
I would call the theatre directly for that information
I saw someone check a bag at the show
Yes. There's and elevator and I believe wheelchair seating.
You cam search the Internet gor the seating chart for that theater.
2 hours and awesome!
Our tickets were through our vacation planner for our group. However, there was a good crowd, so i would recommend purchasing ahead of time.
All of the theaters allow water. I brought a 20 oz bottle of seltzer water in. No looks even.
