Love the Shabbat Services right here on JBS

We watch Shabbat service on JBS. So thankful as we cannot get to a Synagogue due to limited mobility. Shalom from IL.

Excellent clergy, musicians and chorus combine for an uplifting spiritual service enhanced by wonderful music. Some of the sermons deal with important social issues. However overall an "incomplete" rating because they periodically intentionally omit the followon prayers (Vahavtah and Lmaan Tizkru) to the Shma prayer which they consider two lines. These integrate with the Shma and are among the most important prayers of the service and only require 1 minute. Examples of omission are when they have baby naming or aufruf ceremonies. Yet they do not curtail other prayers, sermons or even schmoozing.

A Jewish man cannot be bareheaded ever... (except for showering or swimming or sleeping or whatever...) nothing to do with taking out Torah. For some reason reform and conservative groups associate the kipa with synagogue services, but the two have nothing to do with each other in Jewish law.
It can be steamed just as you stream any service

They have a streaming link. Not a televised service.
I thought it was that Jesus guy that works at the car wash

Yes
Tickets for what?
Yes - the synagogue (shul) is handicapped accessible.
If you let them know you're interested in seeing the sanctuary, someone will give you a tour. Just don't go Friday evening as that's when the main service happens and the sanctuary will be in use. They're open on Saturdays and someone is available to give tours. Note if you don't know this but, like for many big synagogues, there is security you will pass through. It's a quick scan and they'll check your bag so just you know, don't have a pocketknife or something. Other than that, they're very friendly and welcoming.
Central Synagogue uses the Mishkan T'filah prayer book for Friday night Shabbat Service. I hope that helped you.
Yes you can. If want to know about their services and other events you can attend visit their website.

Im sorry you were turned away. My own sister was once turned away because she was not a member of the temple she visited. She lost faith in Judaism when she was welcomed by a church. I realize that you wrote this last year , so I hope you have since found The Way into G-ds house through forgiveness and strength. Jews dont turn their people away, people do.
