How can a Rabbi who puts on a Talit not put on a Kipar (head covering)? Even though he's a Reform Rabbi my understanding is that he cannot open the doors to the Torah or carry the Torah without a head covering. Please let Ari Lorge explain.

A Jewish man cannot be bareheaded ever... (except for showering or swimming or sleeping or whatever...) nothing to do with taking out Torah. For some reason reform and conservative groups associate the kipa with synagogue services, but the two have nothing to do with each other in Jewish law.

But I agree, he is a Rabbi, he wears a Talit! Show some respect!

Though I am not qualified to answer the question, on the basis either, of religious knowledge or religious affiliation, I am very curious to know the answer!
