My mom stayed here from 2016 thru 2020. She had Alzheimerβs Dementia. I went ever other day to spend time with her & make sure she & her clothes were clean. I took her out also, they offer day passes and overnight passes. All of the staff treated her very good. The social worker Katherine Kajiwokewu was a gem and Connie Leone was great too. They all made it an easier process for me and my mom. RIP Margarita Vizarraga ππβ€οΈ The photo is of my mom in her room at Midway.

Great place to send someone you want to die. If you care about your loved one, then keep on looking, this isn't the place. To the reviewer who said this place is renovated, please define renovated. It's disgusting. It looks horrible and smells horrible. My mother-in-law was sent her and she quickly deteriorated. She went in coherent and in need of slight rehabilitation for an injury. We visited frequently because we could tell the staff could care less, so we wanted them to know she was being checked on. This past Thursday, after a week of being there, we went to visit her. We found her unresponsive, slightly convulsing, unable to open her eyes and unable to speak. No one was with her. When we asked what was going on, the person assigned to her care had no idea what her situation was. We had her sent to NYU where she was admitted to ICU. Turns out she had a fall while at Midway and ONE of her injuries was a dislocated shoulder that no one had even noticed. I can keep going on and on. We had an ambulance take her to NYU and as they were prepping her to leave, they threw her clothes in a trash bag an and said, "Here" and handed them to us. Not a care in the world. Now at NYU, she's getting the care she needs and has significantly improved. I can't believe in this day and age, a place like this can exist in our country. I don't know who's rating this place 4 stars, but I assume it's employees giving fake reviews. I will say this, the employees do seem to enjoy themselves. It's like they are having one big party for themselves and neglecting the people in their care. I feel bad for the residents. I really do. Midway Nursing Home needs to be shut down immediately.
