Awesome museum.

Friendly staff. Lots of interesting memorabilia. I was fascinated to learn this is the 1st presidential library buiD fflt while the president was still in office. My only complaint is that many exhibit signs cannot be read because they are so dimly lit.

Such a wonderful facility for everyone interested in American history to visit. Our mistake was not allowing enough time to explore not only the museum, but all the beautiful grounds, gardens and FDR’s home. This is also Roosevelts burial site and memorial. Be prepared to spend several hours here.

Engaging and educational exhibits tell the inspiring story of President Franklin Roosevelt's life and accomplishments.

Yes, she came from wealth as did FDR
I am a journalist and run a couple of websites. Not all FDR images are in the public domain. You would have to review them on a case-by-case basis. For a layman who doesn't want to go to a lot of trouble you should go to wikimedia Commons and review the images that are available there. Underneath those images it will tell you if you need to attribute anyone when you post them or if they are in the public domain.
Both the Visitor Center and Museum are accessible to wheelchairs. For information on accessibility at the Home of FDR National Historic Site (our neighbor here in Hyde Park) you may visit: https://www.nps.gov/hofr/planyourvisit/accessibility.htm
The entire grounds are very wheelchair friendly, which should be no surprise given FDR used one and was involved with the design. Val Kill may be more of a problem, but the rest is very friendly including Top Cottage which may very well be the first house specifically designed for handicap accessibility in the US.
No but if your visit is planned during a busy time...it may be necessary. I would call them and confirm the best approach for your visit.
I don't remember. However, it is a great place to visit.
Don't recall it. Most 1st Lady dresses are @ Smithsonian
