Such a great little stop. You should definitely pop down, no matter the weather, to see this natural wonder. Theres lots of wildlife here, including puffins. In the day during the summer there are often volunteers on the beach with telescopes positioned on rare wildlife. (Including the Puffins). This was a great beach and there is lots of parking and good restaurants nearby.

The kid's loved the Tide Pools. They loved seeing the clams and Anemones. I wish we could've see some starfish but we were a little to late. Either way it was a great experience for us and the kid's. We had beautiful 80° weather when we went. It was wonderful. Recommend 100%

Went in early June and the weather was great. Parking was a little confusing, we ended up just stopping on a nearby road and walking down but was only a 5 minute walk! The beach itself is beautiful and I loved that there were wildlife safety attendants who made sure to keep people off of the rocks and to help us spot animals! Cannon Beach was just down the road with a bunch of cute shops and restaurants to walk in. Loved all of the flowers in bloom.

Beautiful beach. No litter (keep it that way!) And very dog friendly. Always windy, and always chilly. But beautiful and great for long walks on the beach. At low tide the volunteers that come out to keep people off the rock are amazing. They can teach you all about the wildlife that desperately need the safety of the rock to be protected.

There's Ecola Park nearby but mostly inns on the beach
Some of the entries are pretty steep and the dry sand is tough to walk through. I would suggest looking for the visitors center and asking them if they know of some areas which aren't as difficult to maneuver.
No, you would have to fly into PDX And drive the rest of the way.
Drones are NOT allowed! We were just there a couple of weeks ago. Signs all over the place before entering the beach area. Haystack Rock had a bunch of birds nesting there and they don't want them disturbed. I would have loved to have flown my drone there, but totally understand why they don't allow it.
I don't see why you couldn't, find a nice spot away from everyone else and feel free
We actually found RV parking at Tolovana Beach State Recreation Site. It was a great place to make a pit stop. The beach is beautiful, and dog friendly!
Depends on the tide, honestly. Low tide, the rock is dry, from what i saw. We weren't there for a high tide viewing. My plain old Walmart binoculars worked fine, and we were probably 50 yds or less most of the time.
It is a beautiful beach and I would pull out my sketch book
There is a public parking lot with 4 rv slots. 10-15 walk on the beach.
Peak time is July and August but it is enjoyable any time of year.
Right by the wayfarer restaurant easy walk down close parking. View priceless
