Some of the entries are pretty steep and the dry sand is tough to walk through. I would suggest looking for the visitors center and asking them if they know of some areas which aren't as difficult to maneuver.
I could see someone pushing a wheel chair on the sand from my deck at Hallmark Resort near Haystack. The chair had big fat wheels on it to stabilize it make it easier to push along the sand. I had never seen one before. Perhaps one could rent one at Cannon Beach or Seaside...
We just visited and found a shoulder pull off right acrss the street from stairs that go right to it. Awesomeness!
I have a handicapped son and I drove him and his mother to the access point right by the rock. Then I had to park about 10 blocks away by a different access and walked along the beach to the rock.
It is a long walk from the places i have parked.
Not that I'm aware. The only way to get down to the beach is through various stairways
Unfortunately not. You have to walk from some nearby restaurants.
It's not really handicapp accessible and not suggested for wheelchairs and walkers or anything like that, you can park by Mo's Restaurant there but it's quite a stroll down to Haystack Rock but it was a great walk down on the beach, it's like Nukk 966 said.
Unfortunately there isn't parking very close to haystack. It's probably a quarter mile walk.
