The hotel seems to have declined a bit over the past few years. Our bathroom needed several repairs and I had to request a hair dryer which should have already been in the room. The complimentary breakfast was not up to par as it had been on previous visits. Some of the lobby area decor was also no longer there. It was a bit more upscale in appearance on a previous visit. There is simply an overall feeling of cutting back on costs. However, the staff was extremely hospitable and accommodating.

Great location, very clean and WONDERFUL staff We had an issue with our AC at 1 a.m. and Anthony at the front desk immediately helped us and changed our rooms. So easy and he was so nice! Thank you Anthony, for saving our trip.

Our family recently stayed at this Hampton Inn and we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. All of the staff we interacted with were super nice, especially the staff member who was setting up breakfast each morning. She was a delight to talk to every morning. The hotel location was fantastic and convenient to bus and a metro station that will take you to all the sites. There are many restaurant choices within walking distance. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again next time we visit DC.

Robin's comment is correct. The only things I would add are that the actual garage is across the street not the one next door. It's valet parking so I tipped each time. Surprisingly, the valets that I used didn't seem to expect a tip. They were very helpful and polite.
Lower level...ask front desk we didn't use it need your room key
Parking garage across the street...half the price of the hotel valet.
Yes it does, but the rooms near the top are nicely appointed but hvac equipment noise on roof is loud. .
