Starting at 5 stars.... Deduct half a star for parking. We went inside to ask if there was a parking garage or somewhere we could park and were told to let the valet handle it. That's fine, but they didn't mention the valet was $40. I would've parked elsewhere. Deduct half a star for the food. We ordered room service twice: a lemon tart and some teas, and then breakfast the next day. The lemon tart was obviously kept in a fridge unprotected with other foods because the custard had absorbed the flavor of the other dishes. The French toast is so tall, the middle is essentially dough. Deduct half a star for the towels. I'm sure they were clean, but there was a quarter sized brown stain on one. Deduct half a star for the bill. We were charged twice for the afternoon lemon tart and teas. Lovely staff, but not quite up to a 5 star billing with some of those lapses.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Rooms are well designed and decorated, have ultra comfy beds and, drum roll, *quiet air conditioning units*. One weird part is that the showers have no doors, so it can get kinda chilly when you're done showering. The one area of improvement is the service at the hotel restaurant. First night I went there I was ignored to the point that I left and went elsewhere. The hotel manager was gracious and made it up with a personal meeting and complimentary drink at the bar. Unfortunately, I visited again a night or two after and again had trouble finding someone for service. Other than the service at their restaurant, it's a great hotel

With the convergence of big hotel brands, it is more difficult to find a unique, boutique hotel property in the US. The Dupont Circle Hotel is wonderful gem in the middle of DC. The rooms are uniquely designed and are a design inspiration. They are comfortable, luxurious, and well-maintained. The staff is extremely professional and welcoming. You can't beat the location right on Dupont Circle. The Doyle bar and Pembroke restaurant are just as well-appointed, luxurious, and welcoming. This is a quiet oasis in the city, so please don't think about turning your stay into a loud party here. I highly recommend the Dupont Circle Hotel for discerning travelers.

I parked a couple blocks away in the neighborhood for free.
Located directly across the street from the hotel, on the 19th street side of our property, is Kramers. Opened in 1976, Kramers is one of the oldest bookstores in Washington, DC, and was the first bookstore/café in the city. It remains a popular favorite among locals and visitors alike.
The White House, home to the U.S. president, is located 1 mile/1.6 km from The Dupont Circle hotel. This iconic landmark is accessible by various modes of transportation including a very short taxi ride or by the DC subway. Should you chose to take the subway, you can access the Dupont Circle red line subway station located 1.5 blocks from the hotel and ride the train two stops to McPherson Square. Alternatively, you can also walk to The White House via Connecticut Avenue. On a beautiful, sun-filled day, a leisurely stroll to The White House is a perfect activity for one's sightseeing agenda as you are able to view the beauty of the city as you stroll.
Unfortunately, The Dupont Circle does not offer a pool or sauna.
The guestroom elevators at The Dupont Circle are equipped with a keycard reader. Guests entering the property between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. must have a room key to access the hotel.
The Washington, DC area is fortunate to be serviced by three airports that welcome domestic and international flights. Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA), the closest airport to The Dupont Circle Hotel, is located 11 km away. Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is 52 km, while Dulles International Airport (IAD) is 55 km.
You may go on holiday, but your workout doesn’t have to. As a hotel amenity, guests are welcome to use the fitness center which is equipped with a variety of cardio machines and strength training equipment. Open 24 hours a day, access is granted with your hotel room key.
Here at The Dupont Circle, guestrooms offer 1 king bed or two double beds. Rooms with twin beds are not offered. Occupancy, referring to how many people can occupy each room, depends on the guestroom in which you are in. When booking a reservation at the hotel, be sure to review the room description for clarity on the bed type offered along with the maximum number of people that can safely be in that room.
Just like Michelle, we just stayed one night. Good experience!
Valet parking in our on-site underground garage is available for guests. Overnight parking is $40 per night, while day parking is $21, not including tax. The valet stand can be found at the main entrance of the hotel on 1500 New Hampshire Avenue NW.
The National Cathedral, located at 3101 Wisconsin Avenue NW, is about 2.5 miles from The Dupont Circle Hotel. By taxi, it’s roughly a 15-minute drive. Should you feel adventurous, the walk from our hotel to the cathedral is beautiful as you stroll pass gilded mansions from the 19th century on Embassy Row.
DAR Constitution Hall is located a little over a mile from The Dupont Circle Hotel. By foot, DAR is a 20-minute walk straight down 18th street. By taxi, the drive is roughly 10 minutes or less.
What type of vending are you seeking? Drinks or snacks? There may be a soda vending near the ice but if not, there is a CVS nearby, a Krispie Kreme, and Kramers cafe which sells desserts.
The Dupont Circle offers complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi to our guests. For those looking to connect via the in-room ethernet port, a connection cable is located inside the desk drawer.
Check-out at The Dupont Circle is at noon.
