I think the best bookstores are weird and a little messy. This store is great. The foreign language section is in the bathroom and there are handwritten signs guiding you around. It’s easy to navigate despite the space being rather small and full. They have a wide range of topics and there’s something for everyone. The only thing this store needs to be perfect is a shop cat. I recommend visiting.

Wonderfully funky collection if books. Anything you can imagine is in there with oddball furniture also!

What a great place - this is one of those bookshops that feel like digging through your aunt's attic, but in the best possible way, if that makes sense! I didn't find the specific book I was looking for but there are three floors to look through if you're less picky and the notes everywhere crack me up. I also found parking here a little easier than near Second Story, due to the parking slots near the eastern market. So buy a book then go have lunch - sounds like a great way to spend a couple of hours!

The best bookstore I ever visited! You could spend days here!

They take donations but no cash is payed
No, they do not sell audiobooks or CDs of them.
I don't know, but they easily might.
Eastern Market on the Blue/Orange/Silver line. It is about two blocks north of the station, directly across the street from Eastern Market itself.
That's not something I would expect to find there. It's always possible you might find a random one with the scifi books but Inwould be surprised if you did.
