A fascinating place to visit, the National Museum of the U.S. Navy is located by the water on the U.S. Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. Displays take you from our country's beginnings in the 1700's to the present day. Ship models large and small abound, as well as portraits, other paintings, and informational videos. Please see my video on YouTube Subrina w my world

The fact I need to show my passport because I am not American sucks. Its a shame that I couldn’t enter because that. Even tho I had my Drivers License and SSN… sad

If you like battleships from the US Navy, this place has a ton of models of them! Also, take note that the visitor center is closed on weekends, so you'll have to call for an escort from the museum.

Im not sure never been there on Sunday
Amazing amount of history. Can't speak to the specifics of the Acorn
There is a store there to buy things but not sure about the belt
It's free but you have to pass a security check at the East gate
It has a gift shop with kids items. Its not open the same hours as the museum so i would shop when you see it open.
Thank you for your service.
Yes, lots. See also a stretch of road east of the building. As you walk north you will encounter a long line of cannon captured in various campaigns.
You might be asking about the wrong museum here.
Download the form online and fill it out before you go. Will save you time. It takes 20 min or so after the form is submitted to get your pass
You should contact them . I'm sure they have things that you can purchase
It was a great place to have a ceremony and then look around for all of the history. The staff was great and the atmosphere was wonderful
Yes. It is in the naval base, and the base does not close, only on the days celebrated.
Are there any remaining items to put in a museum?
Although the Navy Yard will only allow authorized vehicles on to the installation, an Uber could drop you off at the base's visitor center (O St. SE and 11th St. SE).
I did not see such pictures at the museum. You might want to contact the hospital at great lakes or the one in Texas.
What information, this is a confusing question?
