I travel around the country and use many Ys but there's nothing like the YMCA in Frederick! Everyone from staff to members is so friendly. The spaces are spotlessly clean and all of the amenities are available. It's always a pleasure to return.

Honestly, not sure how my life would have been without this place. Such an amazing group of people at each location. I always enjoy the hometown feel of the Frederick YMCA. The ladies and men in the play room are "so very much appreciated" in watching over my children to allow me time to re-center my body. Value for money, they have ample: (1) fitness equipment (e.g. E-gym, squat racks, and Ellipticals/running equipment; (2) classes (e.g. Yoga with fantastic instructors, Pilates, spin, water (ai-chi or water aerobics) and many more; (3) YMCA supports local programs to help the community; (4) discounts on YMCA affiliated activities; (5) child care at different times throughout the day; (6) pools for laps and other fun water classes (i.e. my kids learned to swim here); (7) multiple locations. Perhaps, one of the most amazing assets or facets of the organization is its retainment of employees. I have known many of the people in the organization that have worked and progressed through YMCA for many years. The ability to remember a name or face makes it more of a community within an organization. They stick around because they care and enjoy giving back to others. Not only do the people change at most other gyms, but they are constantly bought out by larger ventures. Instead of trying to re-create the wheel, they remain consistent in their mission to support the community and its members. Doing it well over time builds trust and friendships : )

Went for a meeting and I was really impressed with the facility, lovely staff, and very clean. Since I live in Montgomery County would be hard for me to join this one but I would recommend anyone from the area to do so. Great schedule of classes.

$105 for a family. Basketball court, fitness equipment, racquetball courts, pool, aerobic classes, run/ walk track, plus a lot more. The Kid Zone has re opened and the kids love it.

You don't. But if you do the cost of lessons is lower vs non-members.
Only the main floor is currently open. I believe downstairs will be open after Memorial Day.
Yes , they offer swimming classes.
YW? Is that YWCA? No we do not.
Yes we have mommy and me swim as well as a crawl/tumble gymnastics class. We are mid session. The winter program guide will be out this week and begins right after the new year.
Hi Rik, We don't have gift cards but we can give them a gift certificate. We can process the gift over the phone if needed. Is your son & family current members of the Y?
Men's side is mainly open. They have a few small shower stalls but it would be difficult to change in. They have a few small private family locker rooms one could use for privacy.
Very helpful.
