Assumed a VSO is supposed to show empathy and guide veterans in what steps to follow when it comes to increases and concerns sort of like a gameplan to accomplish the veterans desires based on the VSO's experience. Not what I experienced at this office. I felt brushed off and like i was given generic answers. Maybe it's my age. But I have seen other negative reviews so it could just be a staff issue. Dealing with the VA can be intimidating, as mediators they should ease that fear/anxiety. I hope they improve for the benefit of the veterans.

Victor is the best ever ,very knowledgeable. Respect for veterans. Many attributes offered for veterans here trying to help other veterans. This is a hidden treasure of assistance that many vets do not know of. If you are a veteran call the office and see how they can help out.

Go to the Jefferson Street Clinic. When you come in from the front, the information desk is on the right. They can point you in the right direction.

Honorable discharge and active duty for 180 days or more.
Contact your closest Marine Recruiter office or your last duty station. You can contact a DAV at 904-475-6319 or go to 117 W Duval #175 to speak with a veterans representative. If you have your final physical exam before being released from active reserve duty, they should be able to pull up your records because that would be proof that you served more than three months.
Have to call the court house get transferred ask for veterans service officer
If you are retired, you may double dip. Meaning you can get your full Retirement & full VA Benefits. https://benefits.va.gov/BENEFITS/derivative_sc.asp These are benefits from State of Florida https://dma.myflorida.com/state-florida-fact-sheet/ https://dma.myflorida.com/state-florida-fact-sheet/ When you go to get your license, you'll get a discount & if you take your VA card or DD-214@, they will put "Veteran " on your Iad/License. There is a group called,"Vets4Vets". They meet once a quarter in the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena. Its a group that gets info out to vets. There's several vendors there that help with free or low cost benefits, and they provide a free 5 star luncheon or you. Its really nice!
You can also go to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 1 at 1439 Parental Home Rd. Call (919)423-5003
