Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. This place is very well kept, has nice walking paths, gift shop and snack bar. You can purchase a ticket for the train and boat ride, also included is a show where they educate you and let you touch the snakes, turtles and alligator.

There are 2 types: We have our swamp passports that include general admission with boat excursion for half price. We have the for individual, couple, family, grandparent, etc. Or you can join our OSPrey Society Donor group which also includes inclusive boat/general passes along with many other perks.
There are signs that say No pets allowed. I'd call and ask, maybe during the winter they might be more lenient due to the alligators hibernating
Anywhere from Late spring through early fall. So possibly late April/early May through as late as end of September. With low water levels it is even worse as they rely on no water mud banks to breed
Deborah: the boat tour package is $27 adult, $22 child + tax. That is the all inclusive with boat train and nature show. General admission which is everything except the boat is $17 adult and $16 child + tax
You would have to ask the school or call the place.
I really enjoyed the boat ride. It is cool to see the alligators in the water, and there are plenty of other interesting things along the way. There are two kinds of carnivorous plants, various spider species that spin super impressive webs, and we even saw a snake. If you are comfortable with the idea of spiders in the trees overhead, I would highly recommended the boat ride!
The train ride is included in the general admission tickets, which cost $17 for adults and $16 for children.
They're not and with good reason!! They'd be gator bait(oui ah ah) /food!
No pets allowed whatsoever. Gators love to eat dogs.
17 dollars per person i do believe but that is for a tour and train ride as well
Wayne is correct Sunday December 29, 2019 is the final day of the 19th Annual Light Show.
We could, the one consideration you will need to take into account is that all guests will have to purchase tickets into the park since it is inside the park unlike the cypress cove annex building
The Swamp Island Drive loop is at the Suwanne Canal Recreation Area outside of Folkston, GA. You will be able to drive along the edge of the wetlands/pine forest; however, there is no "drive through the swamp."
Not at the Okefenokee Swamp Park, where you asked the question, which is a nonprofit 501c3 located outside of Waycross, Georgia. You can use at Suwannee Canal Recreation Area outside of Fargo to cover the parking fee.
There are a few entrances to the swamp. You can rent boats and camp, but not at the waycross entrance.
Haven't seen any bikes around or for rent. Offered are train rides and boat tours
No we do not have an atm onsite, you will need to stop at one before arriving
No we are a 501c3 non-profit organization specializing in conservation, education and ecotourism that leases part of our land from the State of Georgia and part of the property from US Fish and Wildlife.
Depends on what time of year you come. If during yellow fly season you will need something, preferably with the chemical “picaridin” in it as that is the only thing we have found that works. We sell in the gift shop or bring with you.
They are open year round
We are a 501c3 non profit that does not receive state or federal funding. That program is for national parks with some state parks honoring.
12 to 61 is $17, 2 to 12 is $16
Yes
I believe they only close for major holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. The boat rides are only offered if the water levels are high enough to allow the tours.
