Contact the schools that offer film degrees the students always are making films and need volunteers. Also, check casting calls at nmfilm and volunteer for nonpaying films. And, third, there are film contests, like the 48 hour shoot that uses volunteers. I would direct your question to the NM Film board. They probably have more good ideas and free courses.

Make friends with directors, prop masters, art directors, etc.
Contact nmfilm.org. They can help with free listing of your services, list of unions (some nonunion workers are hired), list of production and casting companies. Drive by and ask guards who they work for. Check Netflix website for jobs in NM.
