Have you tried clicking the apple logo on the top left corner of the Mac. That should force it to quit the installation of the program. Or press option command and ESC. Real easy to uninstall the reinstall.

Yes, I believe so there's always a class being conducted when I've gone into the Apple store. However I'm not sure if they have different classes like for computers, phones, watches etc.I would think Apple would have an online schedule for their classes you may want to check.
