Many of the staff are caring and patient, and the facility is well maintained, but there are problems with important communications. When my mother was in a critical stage, I left several messages for Charlie, the Social Worker, Discharge Planner which were never returned. Mary, an administrator also didn't return my call. When my mother had to go to the hospital from there, they packed up her belongings and lost he Bible and other books important to her. We still haven't recovered them. During one emergency episode, they sent her to the emergency room, and Anne Arundel was full so she had to be taken to another hospital. When we called to find out where she was taken, the staff at Autumn Lake couldn't tell us where she had been sent and suggested we call around to local hospitals to find her. Shocking and outrageous. When we spoke to a manager, she agreed to make some calls to find my mother. The comment to us was that the driver takes the patient where there space and doesn't report back to the facility as to where they take the patient. A.L. has enough clout with the transport services to institute such a procedure, but hasn't, horrifying.

My Dad was at Autumn Lake for rehabilitation. I could not have asked for a better experience for not only him, but for my family. Every staff member we encountered was beyond exceptional. We visited every day and every day the staff greeted us with a smile. They went out of their way to make sure my Dad's stay was comfortable and pleasant. I would highly recommend Autumn Lake!

My Dad received excellent care from all the staff. Including the nutrition staff, who came to ask his food likes and dislikes. We wanted to give honorable mention to Maxine, my Dad’s CNA. She went above and beyond everyday to make my Dad’s stay the most comfortable. Maxine is quite the asset and gave quality care, as did all the staff he encountered. We would highly recommend this facility.

Most of the time is okay. Employees are very nice. Today not so good. 2pm and pee all over and can't find anyone to change her so I finally had to do it myself. But then they showed me where to put the wet sheets and full diaper. I then cleaned the bed myself. Not happy about this.
