Too quiet and ambiance is off. Food is quite exceptional

We've been to Italian restaurants a number of times, but this is the first time we've dined here. The restaurant owner(Jerry) guided us to the table and explained all the different options for us. Since we are Asian, we don't know much about Italian food. Recommending us Linguine with Fresh Clams & Red Sauce was the best. The calms were real fresh clams. . Many Italian restaurants left us disappointed. La Cena Ristorante was our favorite when it comes to Italian Cuisine. I run Kim's Koreaen BBQ restaurant, so I felt it was a good experience dining out and learning from another owners perspective. We’d like to thank our friend Bill for providing us with the great food and a wonderful time.

FABULOUS as usual!!! Came for long awaited Graduation dinner for my son. I called ahead to find out if they could accommodate making entrees for family unable to attend. Our appetizers were devine. Wine wonderful!! Service perfect!! My son had a homemade pasta with shrimp and scallops. Perfect flavor, buttery and nicely seasoned. My daughter and I had the Haddock and it was flaky perfection. My husband had the steak pizziola and as always tender perfection. Our Caesar salad were perfect. The food here is not overpowering and perfect northern Italian. Even though it was a Saturday night and very busy, food came out in a timely relaxed manner. Time to talk, enjoy the wine, ect. This restaurant probably in the top 3 in Jacksonville. Can't wait to come again!! Be sure to get their Chocolate Mousse!!! Loved the cheesecake, wonderful hints of citrus, just WOW!!

I have the veal every time and you'll not go wrong.
You should call...
They do not list any on their menu. However they are very accommodating to requests
No bar. Never had much luck with them. Small foyer with sofa. Parties with reservations are seated immediately, and the table is theirs for the evening. If it is an especially quiet night, and you are nice, we may be able to seat you at a table for wine and appetizers at the appetizer price. It all depends on the circumstances, and how you present yourself.
Most guests spend between $40 and $60 for a complete meal. You can spend more or less depending on what you order. House salad, fresh bread, butter, grissini, white tablecloths, cloth napkins, comfortable chairs, all the air conditioning you can soak up, and unlimited accommodations are included in the price of each entree. Fresh vegetables accompany meat and fish entrees. The table is yours for the evening. Do the math when comparing your dining options and then decide. Young children are not welcome. There is no kid's menu. La Cena is a refuge for well behaved adults.
