Like most government offices, there was a long wait. The young lady working the front was very polite. But the actual case worker had an attitude problem, of course.

I have been on hold for one and a half hours to speak with someone at the Baltimore City child support office. Every MD agency that I have been calling will not answer the telephone or call you back when a voice message is left. I was told that they are all under the governor's office, hmm. Energy Assistance, this includes you too right. I hope this gets better soon.

I attempted to take my child's father down to child support when she was 16 years old they completely completely messed up everything by the time they sent the case to court my daughter was 18 years old the affidavit had her name spelled wrong instead of requesting a blood test they threw it out of court and I was never able to receive child support after 18 years of no help from the father they did not do anything to try to help they did not do anything to try to resolve the issue this is the worst experience I could have ever had and It has caused me heartship They even tried to lie and say the reason why the case was not successful is because they could not find the father when in reality I gave them his home address phone number and information about where he worked i ever called him on three way and the person refused to talk to him

If & when you do... I couldn't get a status update because someone entered my info in incorrectly...I had to visit so many times, until my case was under investigation, only then was my info updated and put thru, but I'm still not collecting support because he's disabled...if I find a number I'll add it

Just like anything if you have a positive attitude and very respectful you can get a lot of accomplished the normal becomes abnormal and what usually don't get done gets done.. so I say that is that's how some people can come in without an appointment and then some can't get seen with an appointment that's a lot to do with the situation or the individual have a happy getting things done day
I would go down there to address all of the issues that you are having. Same thing happened to my bf with the wait time jumping all over the place so he just went down there and was in and out
i waited about two weeks and then call but they just found out that he had retired and they are getting the information you know i think it's a shame that father's well I say some father's are dead beat's you know and the kids suffer for the bullsh..

Your best bet is to go in person to your local office. There is a wait as well but you get to speak to someone face to face and actually get your questions answered.

Call your nearest DSS.
Both of them will have to pay childsupport to you if they're married and both have an income. The same way you been receiving childsupport will be the same way you receive it with the income from no-custodian parent partner. If that partner doesn't have income or if he/or she is not using their married last name then everything will stay the same and you will receive those back payment once the no-custodian parent pay childsupport.
Talk to a specialist to see what your case status is. If you've overpaid it's possible it could be held in an escrow account.
I'm not sure about paying online but they are pretty swift with getting you in and out at the N. Howard St location (North Ave & N. Howard St.) if you need to go inside.
I just called my local office and asked to speak with the supervisor in charge for child support. Contacted me very fast. Took care of my issue's.
U want to get the correct address and apply for it in the state you live and when they run his ssn he will be summoned in the state you and the child live he won't get garnishes from 2 states
